We had a Wonderful Fish Fry, with potato salad, potato pancakes, and rye bread. My husband, also, had a bowl of Clam chowder and it was Delicious ! We would highly recommend it!

We’ve tried coming here before for the Friday fish fry, but struck out as this place is a popular classic. First timers – Good Friday was good for us… come earlier. Enjoyed our late lunch at Wegners. Friendly staff and good food (combo cod and perch, potato pancakes, applesauce, slaw, rye bread). Bicycled home.

A classic Wisconsin fish fry of the best order. I had the perch and it was the smaller perch not the large perch. On other visits we have tasted the German fare. Why this gem is not common knowledge to everyone is beyond me but I like the way it is.

My wife and I have been coming here for years. It has been awhile since our last time with the pandemic and all. We ordered fish fries and picked them up curbside which is really nice. Mine was a perch fry with fries ($18.65) and was really good, my wife had a three piece haddock ($12.75)with potato pancakes and was very disappointed, the pancakes were very hard and the fish was way overcooked, you could see it in the crust and taste it. I could have rated it lower but I know this isn’t the normal for them. We will still go back and give it another go. Sometimes it is better to dine in as you can compliment or complain right away. Perch is on the right.

While attending a memorial for a friend/classmate, we had a meetup with another classmate/roommate, whom we haven’t seen in 30 years, at Wegner’s. Kathy was very gracious in letting us stay way past their closing time. We couldn’t have picked a better place to hang out and eat wonderful German food!

Tried the Friday night fish sampler. Shrimp and perch were great. Cod was OK. Scallops were disappointing as the breading overpowered the flavor. Coleslaw was tasty as was the potato pancakes.

Second time having their fish fry, first time was excellent today not even close to the great first experience. Fish was greasy, potatoe pancakes bland, clam chowder gross and Cole slaw was not good. Not worth the cost.

Literally my favorite restaurant for German food, and everything else! It’s a small restaurant that really has old school WI vibes with lots of nascar memorabilia. Certainly quirky, yet charming! You can’t order anything bad here, for food or drinks! Note, it’s always wise to call for a reservation!
