I have driven past this place thousands of times over the last 20 years. Today has made it a new spot for me and my spouse for dates. The food was what you might expect at your typical roadside diner, but the freshness was on point. The swamp fries(steak fries covered in cheese, bacon, and BBQ pork, drizzled with BBQ sauce &ranch) were awesome. The wait staff was fast, happy, and attentive. The chef was amazing, and the price was reasonable. Don’t let the size fool you. They sit close to 50. So if you’re passing thru, that 4-mile drive south from the exit on I-10 will be well worth it.

Delightful little country restaurant, located in a turn of the century country store and gas station. Of the beaten path maybe 10 minutes out of Lake City off of FL highway 10, it is well worth breaking here if you are traveling across the state.

A real delight for some travelers looking for home cooking in a relaxed atmosphere. These are simple southern foods provided with no silliness. We enjoyed conversation with the owner about the local areas, felt welcomed and got a real feeling that this little place to grab a good home cooked meal also was devoted to trying to do a little better for the community it was in.

This is one of those hidden gems you find while out on a road cruise, if your looking for some true homemade eats with that good o’l hometown atmosphere this is it, hearty portions of country comfort food at its best, and our server Tara made us feel like we were right at home. Looking forward for a return visit.

We stopped here on our way home from vacation. We were lucky enough to get Helen as our waitress who was the sweetest soul. The food was absolutely perfect. Highly recommend. I would drive the long distance again just to eat here.

Everything was very good. Prices are a little high. I also got some banana pudding in this tiny cup that cost almost $3 and it wasn’t even a full cup. The staff is very nice and polite.
