I can tell this used to be a really great restaurant. But I’ll not be returning. Feels like it has lost its focus on quality. The ribs came out cold, dry and almost so Smokey that it almost tasted like fake liquid smoke. the “beef” was leathery and not appealing, first time I’ve ever taken 1 bit of a rib, and 1 bite of the beef and said nah I’m good, the Mac N cheese had no flavor, the Coleslaw tasted old… The appetizer sampler came out with the food. It was decent – but obviously pre-made national food distribution heat and serve. $46 for a dinner for two at a “rib house” would normally feel like a decent deal. But the fact that I sent back my plate with only 1 bite out of the two items and the server’s response was “oh, you didn’t like it” and brought back the bill like she wasn’t concerned or surprised… I wasn’t looking for a discount, but I was expecting awknowlgement that it wasn’t the norm..

The food here was pretty lame even for bar food. I had their meat platter and everything was dry AF. I actually thought they made a mistake and gave me beef jerky. The only thing I enjoyed was the corn bread. It’s an ok place to go but don’t expect awesome bbq.

I would give this place 0 stars if I could. Absolutely atrocious and we all ended up sick. Nothing we ordered came right, the collar greens had an actual film on them and were soured. They must have spoiled, not noticed, and microwaved them directly in the proportioned cups. The macaroni and cheese was dry and also had a crust form, all of the food was hot on the edges and cold in the center like the only cooking device was a microwave. Service was absolute HORRIBLE. I’ve never seen a waitress so unaware of the menu or what she was bringing out in my life. When we told her something was wrong, she put her bare ungloved hand in our plate to sample a peice. When I manager was requested, there was none on site. The table behind us also had issues and recieved no service food or drinks for over an hour, completely forgotten with only 4 tables filled. I would not ever come here again, nothing was clean, rotten food served, reheated food, all orders wrong.. save your money, go somewhere else.

I don’t know what changed our when exactly but never again. Both the chicken and the ribs were burnt to a crisp and honestly tasted like lighter fluid. Pulled pork had definitely been around for days as some “chunks” for lack of a better word, we’re dry. I’d honestly rather eat a MC rib.

I don’t know what happened to this place, use to be one our favorite spots after church. They completely changed the layout and the food is now horrible.

Love love love Wes’!! Great prices on beer! Not a large local selection but you will find something to love. The cornbread is the best around and i love the chili with cheese and onions. The best!

I placed a takeout order in person. My order was left on the bar and 2 waitresses walked by 4 or 5 times without even looking at it. It sat there for about 15 minutes. I went over and checked the order myself. When I asked if it was my order because it didn’t have an order number, the waitress asked what I ordered. She was unapologetic and dismissive. And of course, the food had to be rewarmed. As usual, the ribs were delicious but the service was far from stellar.

As a proud Texan I love ribs, and these are good ribs best ribs I have had since moving up here, the only thing that keeps them from getting a 4 star is the sides. I got collard greens and mashed potatoes, the Texas way to make greens is you slow cook then in put a little bacon in their, and most importantly some peppers usually cayenne causing the greens to have a kick with them. All this is not to say these greens were bad they weren’t but their just not how I like my greens these were kinda sweet with like a vinegar at the end. The mashed potatoes were kinda starchy, they were definitely the worst part. Overall decent

Wes used to be really good back in the day. This review is actually for the past 6 years lol. Ever since they redid their resturant the quality of food has gone down. If you want to save time..just order a cornbread from an bbq spot..if they can’t get the bread done right…don’t expect anything else. Staff was friendly tho

Something changed, not what I remember. I got the platter: 5-6 pieces ribs, Mac n beans. My daughter got: loaded waffle fries w/ chz n bacon and boneless wings. My sides were the size of a small ice cream scoop. Mac was dry and bland. The beans were inedible, tart, sour beyond belief and runny. The ribs were not good. The portion they gave me was the end of the rack which had about 3 medium size ribs and the flap which amounted to about 4 ribs total maybe? The end was very difficult to chew shred. The ribs were very tough and had too much sauce. They meat itself wasn’t very flavorful and was extremely chewy. Not a lot of actual meat, more fat. My daughter enjoyed her wings and the waffle fries were very good. I was surprised they had a kick to them. Cheese and bacon was above fair. The soda was watery.
