It was a good diner experience. I got a Rueben Sandwich and it was more of a chopped meat sandwich. Fortunately the pies were spot on and all we could think about is coming back for more pie. The restaurant was clean and inviting, and the service was great. We would go back.

You have to try the burgers – amazing! Great hand breaded fish and onion rings as well, and the homemade rhubarb pie was quite the treat. Definitely a must try place!

Went over lunch on a Monday. Place was lively but not overcrowded. Friendly staff and patrons. Enjoyed a talk with the two older gents next to me over a plate of chicken and dumplings that were as good as grandma’s (from what I can rememeber)

PHIL’S legacy as the owner carried over to the new management. Never had to ask for a refill because the waitress was fantastic. My gradma is handicap and they accomodated her needs more above and beyond “hospitality” standards. Place hasn’t changed in 30 years. RIP

Someone should train the staff to be a little nicer and they might make more money. The lady on the phone was rude and acted like my order was a bother for her. Then when I got to pick it up a different lady wanted to talk about me so I could hear her. It was just fish and fries i dont understand why everyone was so upset by the order. I didnt modify anything or ask for a special item. Also the fish wasnt that good. My guess is the cook was upset too. Customer service is awful it doesn’t matter how nice a person is, people just love to be mean.

Go to once a week in evening on Saturday. Cannot seem to serve hot soup. 9 out of 10 times have to send soup back to heat up. Asked for no onions in potatoes and crispy, 7 out of 10 times comes with onions and have to send back. We really enjoy this place and like their food alot. Just certain things need to fix. Have eaten here many years, probably won’t stop going.
