Decided to try this place on a whim and I’m so glad we did— the food blew me away!! The umami fries were seriously craveable. Pork belly buns could’ve used more sauce but the flavor of the meat was delicious. We got the pork and kimchi egg rolls (which were a special) and they were very good too. Nice and crispy and the filling kinda tasted like sauerkraut so if you like that you will love. The fried chicken on top of the chicken katsu ramen was so juicy and perfectly crispy. Noodles were a little thicker than I’m used to but tasted homemade and were well cooked. Def my new favorite spot for Japanese food in the suburbs; I cannot wait to return!

Food was good, ramen didn’t have enough broth for my taste. Smoked pork belly in ramen and baobun was delicious. Also really liked the chicken Katsu and espresso gelato. Fun cocktail selection. I didn’t understand the rap music and staff uniforms, as far as the atmosphere went. Personally won’t return because most of the staff was not wearing masks, against current COVID regulations. Staff was very good though, very courteous and attentive.

Really love this popup Chrissoula’s has brought back. I’ve eaten a lot of quality Ramen in a lot of different locales and this was fantastic. I had the tonkatsu and wife had the chicken and both were super flavorful and had all the toppings and accoutrement I’d expected. Bao was great and the cocktails were a standout. Really fun seeing all the staff change the vibe and uniforms and really transform the place from its usual (and already awesome) operations.

Great fresh Ramen. Every year it gets better. The great part is the fantastic taste of the broth. A lot of flavor without salt. The next day I’m not drinking a gallon of water. Have had about half of the items on this years menu. All very good. And broth on all dishes is amazing.

Amazing ramen spot worth checking out, what a gem. Their broth is rich and full of flavor. Started with the smoked pork belly buns and umami fries, highly recommend both – excellent. Went with a classic tonkotsu ramen. Amaaaaaazing. Great service too – love these guys!

The miso shiitake ramen was so delicious! The broth, noodles, and mushroom… all excellent. The shrimp buns were crazy delicious. This was my first experience and plan to order from here again in the future.

Underwhelming. Spicy Chicken Dumplings were undercooked and had little flavor. Tonkatsu Ramen broth was devoid of any flavor, depth or spice. Shrimp & Pork Belly buns were decent. Highball drink was citrusy and refreshing.

So glad this has made an appearance again this year! It’s not easy to find great ramen in the suburbs. I love the fresh spring rolls with peanut sauce and the tonkotsu. I hope this pop up becomes a permanent addition soon!!

Waited months to finally try it out. Kind of disappointing. Atmosphere was really nice and the staff/service was top notch (Polina was AWESOME!) Apps were really good; unagi chicken wings, pork bao bun. We ordered tonkatsu, chicken katsu, chicken shoyu. Looked amazing, but the ramen was strangely bland, flavorless, room temp. I don’t understand why. The smoked pork and the breaded chicken was decent with a good flavor. The “molten” eggs were gross, runny, undercooked, not softboiled. Again, I didn’t understand this; felt a bit cheated, disappointed. I like Chrisoulas so this was just a strange and disappointing experience. ♂️
