Growing up in a Bohemian/Czechoslovakian part of Chicago, I was always able to to find this type of food fairly easily. However, since the pandemic, these smaller restaurants and restaurants in general, have been closing their doors. These smaller restaurants have been having a more difficult time staying open in my opinion which is a shame because we are loosing a lot of good establishments. The staff here is welcoming and friendly. The servers might be slightly difficult to understand due to an accent, but are very sweet and attentive! The food was served hot and delicious! I ordered the fruit dumplings which are a difficult dish to find but ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!!! Everything was timely and and the prices were reasonable. I would definitely go back and recommend this place to my friends for a great traditional Bohemian meal!!!

I have heard mixed opinions and reactions about this restaurant, so I had to check it out for myself.

Nice uncrowded Saturday dining. The food is awesome. Service was fast. Too much choices. Just look at the photos. Best sauerkraut in the Chicago area.

Absolutely amazing Czech food. Tastes like my moms and grandmothers. I’m so great full places like this are still around to enjoy.

Food is excellent here. Ever since the place in Westmont closed I’ve been going to this restaurant. I bring friends in family and we all love it!

Wiener Schnitzel. I had that. It was good. Could of been tastier, but it was a huge portion. The meal came with soup, a veg, and a dumpling, as well as coffee and desert included. It’s a lot of food, and not as refined as I’d like, but it’s fast and comfy and as one person said “feels like being a t grandma’s” which also describes a lot of their clientele. Naps needed after eating here. A lot of parking.

Walked in and was seated and not told they were going to close. Was rushed to eat and given containers because workers wanted to leave. I ordered 2 kids meal which are about $7 each, the rib daily special which was about $20 and the sirloin tip and ended up with a $70 bill. The waitress refused to let me see the detailed bill. Their food is delicious but their honesty and customer service lacks. They rushed us to leave and we were unable to enjoy our meals, I hope they start communicating with customers and letting them know they are about to close. Staff have to be retrained and taught to be honest and not overcharge or steal from customers.

If you like Czech food, you’ll love Westchester Inn. It’s a must stop anytime we’re in the area. We had our 3yr old grandson with us, and they have a nice kids menu. Great soups, pork tenderloin, the size of elephant ears, and I have had their koprova, svickova, fruit dumplings and other Czech dishes, all great. Finish with a nice kolache, coffee cake, strudel, etc. A lot of food at a reasonable price. I wish they had a banquet hall for parties.
