What a long time staple of Burlington. We had a group get together of around 50 folks this past evening and let me say they hit a home run. We had one server taking care of the entire group and she was amazing. The food was absolutely delicious and came out quick as well as hot. Some serious coordination to feed around 50 folks almost at the same time. Keep up the good work and we’ll see you guys soon.

While the restaurant is really dated, it still has the same feel it did when I went here with my grandparents, so it’s nostalgic for me. The food is good as always. The ladies out front are always sweet when I come to pick up a to-go order.

An impressive steak served on a sizzling hot platter as it is calibrating to your desired temperature. For a minute, I was fooled thinking someone behind me had ordered fajitas? Scarlet my server, politely landed my delicious and huge T-bone steak perfectly in front of me. Her service was above and beyond! There is nothing silent about the hush puppies, uniquely made delicious nice and hot crispy hand made with sweet corn meal. This dive definitely goes back sixty years as the bright old school neon sign on it’s roof top, illuminates the invitation to come right in! The Golden hour settles nicely in your dusk’s hunger for sure.

The service was friendly, but I do not recommend sitting near the register area. They have an abundance of take out business which keeps the phone ringing. I went for a very late lunch / early dinner so I was in and out rather quickly.

Well I drove by this place for years and a few months ago, I decided to stop and give it a try. I love this place! I have probably been at least a dozen times now. I haven’t had a bad meal. I have had most of the steaks on the menu as well as the calabash seafood. The onion rings are the best I have had anywhere. They are hand breaded in the calabash breading.
