We have been coming in for breakfast off and on for years. Always amazing however in the last year we have been in a couple of times. Once back in April we all got prime rib (4 of us) and was well done and had a rancid taste. We chalked it up as an off day. Today we came in and they said the special was a t-bone, so I figured well it couldn’t be as bad as the prime rib. She brings it out and it’s a prime rib. Cooked rare however it’s completely brown, no pink and taste horrible. I let the waitress know this time and she asks how it tastes off and I told I get it’s a special because it not new but it tastes bad. She takes it and I change it out for a cheeseburger however she lets the front know who I’m assuming is a manager and from over hearing the conversation let’s just say was horrible service! The waitress seemed nice so the horrible service isn’t really from her but the rest of the crew up front.

The fried chicken was really good. Salad bar could use some updating, but still fresh. The restaurant was clean, and I didn’t use the restroom, so unsure about it. The server was pleasant and checked on us often.

we have been regular customers over the years and recommended the place to friends and family but it seems or should I say tastes like they have changed the cook. The soup, had an old or strange taste. And he waitress doesn’t listen very well to our orders. Must be another case of “hard to find good help”. We most likely won’t be going back and will cease our recommendations of the place.

We truly appreciate the service Western Emporium provides to veterans and their spouses on Veteran’s Day with the free meals. The service was excellent and the waitresses were prompt and efficient with service. The food was good, but the drink I had was rather weak, but still tasted good.

Do not eat at this place. Today 6/27/21, I was washing my laundry at the spin fresh on 32nd and King Ave. I watched this cook come out of the Western Empire Emporium with his gloves on. He proceed to jump into trash Dumpster and jump up and down to compact the trash. Never took his gloves off nor did anything about the bactria on his clothes. So no wonder places like this spread disease and things called COVID-19. So glad I’ve never eaten here. I never will now.
