I’m a pizza afficionado and am pretty fussy about pizza so my expectations weren’t outrageous when I opened the boxes, needless to say I was blown away by the quality of what I received. Pepperoni wasn’t greasy, cheese was perfectly cooked, plentiful and not gluey like some chains, chicken pizza had a lightly spicy cream sauce that one could tell had some real thought put into it, chicken was plentiful and not dried out like chicken pizzas usually are, the crust wasn’t thick or thin but had a good chew to it.

Westside pizza is my favorite in Blaine. They are very attentive and have tons of arcade games for kids. The pizza it’s self is so gooey it feels like I’m a kid again. Definitely never changing pizza places, even if I have to drive to blaine. None of the other pizza places or Westside have given me a pizza place feel and this is it.

The teens behind the counter need to realize they can be seen through the glass window. I’m no model by any means, but to see them look disgusted by me being alive makes me never want to go back. The pizza made sure I’d never go back. I ordered a cauliflower crust Hawaiian and it was so bland I ended up throwing 3/4 of it away.

We’ll start with the good. The location was built well and looks visually appealing. The employees were nice. The lunch special is a fine value, 2 slices and a drink for 6 bucks. They even reheated my slices from their warmer at my request but the pizza was not above the standard of frozen pizza in my opinion. It was their “pan” pizza but wasn’t thick at the same time. Weird, coming from Pizza Hut’s pan pizzas. The sauce was bland and there was a gummy layer of uncooked dough under the sauce. I know this is their first few days and I will give them a few more shots with different styles of crust and different menu items. No employee was wearing masks … it is concerning to their lack of caring about the pandemic. Every other business has their employees wearing masks because it is mandated. I don’t know why they think they are above it.

First the pizza is very good. The crust is chewy and light, the sauce is perfect. The wings are decent and the calzone is fun. As a new pizza place in town they have been slammed and their has been some relatively long waits but that’s how it is.
