I definitely recommend this place. I was in town with my daughter and mom and so far this was the best place we’ve been to for food. The lady who served us was amazingly nice and very good cook. I’m def coming back next time also the place is kid friendly.

The fish is $8 for all you can eat. Unfortunately you have to have hours available to eat here. I have had it twice and both times the wait once you order is unacceptable, the fact that one waitress covers the whole dining area does not help. The first time we ate here food was average, the second time items were pulled out of fryer was to soon making them not great by any means. To make the visit worse I played $10 worth of songs on the jukebox of top 40 pop music and because a few regulars complained about the song selection so the owner turned the jukebox off after only $2 worth of music played. There are plenty of places to eat around the Lake, do yourself a favor and and choose one of those if you want an enjoyable dining experience.

We ordered breakfast from the bar where we chose to sit. We like to converse with the locals wherever we go. Where can you get two eggs, three sausage links, a giant order of hash browns, and choice of toast, for $5.00? We chatted with locals that we hadn’t seen in years. The bartender remembered being an art student in my class. Great experience! !!!

This morning was our second experience where breakfast took over an hour and a half to come out and one order of biscuits and gravy the biscuit was very hard and stuck to the bottom of the plate and the gravy had a thick film over it like it had been under the heat lamp for a while. Another meal which was a special came out wrong but we didn’t dare complain because frankly we didn’t have another hour and a half to wait. No one ever checked back after the food and we were drinkless until we left. Granted they voluntarily took $4 off our ticket we won’t be returning unless we have ample time.

Had breakfast there on Sunday, 10/30/16 at about 9am.. Service and food were very good.. sometimes they are very busy.. but we must have went at the right time. Helpings are large..you won’t leave hungry. Thanks for the insight of half orders.

A Good Fish Fry at a Great Price!!!. Note: the ambiance of this bar is nothing to right home about, but the people are nice and the food is good. I consider it the secret of Fox Lake.

I’ve known Gary for 28 years. They do have awesome food. I’m a former service member. To see that someone put on Facebook or some other source of the Internet saying he is a Marine Corps vet is a DISGRACE. He has a hard time serving a drink, let alone serving his country. He has never been in the service. Shame on you Bubba.
