Worst place ever bad service owner was yelling at me for trying to order something on the menu I have no idea why he was mad. He kicked me out i was being polite about the situation, I’ve come here before with no problem food is ok!! definitely not coming back and don’t recommend this place! Stay away from here if possible. I’m all for local restaurants but this one blew it, and lost some customers due to his bad temperament.

This place is a great place to stop for reasonably good seafood. The prices are better than other seafood restaurants. The appetizers are very good and good priced as well. The food is always fresh and the service is fast. While the place is a little outdated it just adds character. A must try!

Nice ppl, not as clean as I would like, but the building is very old and the building owner doesn’t want to put any money in it.

I live ALL the way in HOUSTON but every time I go to visit my mom, I make sure I visit this place & have ever since her and my dad moved out there! They fish is from haven it’s nice juicy and crisp, fries are cooked just right with the right amount of seasoning on them as well! I recommend this place to everyone! I’m getting hungry just thinking about it!

The fish is out of this world good. The waitress is wonderful. It is a family run business and they are all very very nice. We’ve been eating here for years. We have not found any other restaurant that can make a better tasting fish.

This was my first visit to Wharton Seafood. First, the staff was so pleasant and had great customer service; I had the beef brisket phó noodle soup, it only had 1 sliver of brisket in it, the broth was bland, and it did not come with basil/cilantro/seedy chili sauce on the side. The atmosphere is casual. Pricing is good. I will be coming back for another visit, but will try something different.

Worst customer service in the world. I just called to price meals and the guy caught so much attitude. The prices are jacked up for mediocre food. 1 catfish and 6 shrimp with shrimp fried rice is $18 because the cant understand how to simply sub fries for rice. This is really the only seafood place in wharton so they think they can do what they want. Ive been here quite a few times and spent my money without hesitation and dealt with their rudeness. But today they have completely lost my business. News flash idiots customer service is EVERYTHING!

The T Bone….ordered it medium rare, eating while working on my phone. Noticed it was really tough, really had to chew and hard to cut. The tender side wasn’t bad but wasn’t great. Finally noticed the thing wasn’t cooked inside. It was they threw it on frozen, charred the outside and served it. Told the waitress and rather than take it and finish cooking it she wanted to argue with me that it was medium rare. Lady that’s not even rare, it’s RAW. Had to then pay $23.49. Didn’t finish my veggies or potatoes I was so upset by the rudeness and lack of professionalism of that waitress. Unbelievable! Had to go to Buc-ee’s and get a sandwich for about $7.50. I will never go back to Wharton Steak and Seafood. The whole experience just flat out SUCKED!

Gotta give this place a 3, only because I can’t down play the food here. I was a Regular for lunch here, until da Staff/Person was sooo Rude after addressing Me & my Partner, for seating ourself when coming in to dine. He act as He never seen Us b4. Was quite Disappointing & Disturbing. Never bought anything else from there.
