Service was excellent. Price point for quality of food was a bit much.

Absolutely amazing food here. Be sure to try the BBQ nachos appetizer but don’t try to tackle them alone.

Stopped in for lunch, because of the heat they were not frying anything. So no bbq nachos, no tried foods or baked foods at all. That I understand although that is half the menu gone right there. Service was good but the waitress was the only one there at 12pm and also had to cook the food so she was doing everything alone. Now here is where it goes a little south. I ordered the bbq max and cheese and baked beans. It was ok although the pork was dry and tasted days old. Baked beans were as basic as you can get. No pork or bacon in them, no onions, literally tasted like they came straight from the can.y buddy got the ribs and he said they were the worst ribs he’s ever had, and he’s had a lot of ribs. Was really excited to try this place, but unfortunately was disappointed.

Stopped for barbecue ribs at this BBQ place but they had no barbecue ribs left or beans. What barbecue restaurant has no pork ribs? So we settled for their chicken nachos. Absolutely terrible. I’ve had Better nachos at greasy spoon sports bars. Avoid this place.

We were looking so forward to trying this place. It was my husband’s birthday. They were out of brisket, sausage, and had only 4 rib bones left, also out of potatoes. I took the last 4 ribs, and I’m not sure when they were cooked, but they were dry as a bone. I couldn’t even eat them. No smoke flavor. My husband had pulled chicken and pork, both very dry, and flavorless. We were so disappointed. This place has great reviews. We did have a good server. I felt bad for her.

This was a nice place in an interesting little town. It’s right off a nice main street area. The process are expected for the process it takes to make smoked meat. I enjoyed everything although the pulled pork was a little hard so I think it was undercooked still. By undercooked I mean the temperature was fine but the length of time should have been longer as it was pretty stiff. I really enjoyed the HOT BBQ sauce was it wasn’t sweet at all and had really good medium heat. Macand cheese was good, baked beans were good but could use a bit more flavor. I added a bit of the hot BBQ sauce to them.

The pulled pork is tender and the sauce (regular) is very good. The ribs have more flavor than the pork, and the service is great. They have been out of potatoes two of the three times we visited. We will go again.

Stopped in randomly as we were heading home (central Iowa) on a road trip. Fantastic food, nachos are awesome! Le Claire is a neat little river town as well, worth the stop if you’re ever in the area.

Tasty, but expensive, IMHO. Busy place. Waitress/barmaid was nice once she had time to answer our questions. Tasty brisket, but it was served on paper on a cafeteria tray. That 6 oz pile of meat and a corn muffin was $10 market price, since I ordered ala carte. 8 oz was a bit more. BBQ tends to be expensive wherever you go, though, so maybe that’s normal.

Amazing food, meat was very tender and flavorful. Portions were very large for the price. Would definitely come back if traveling through the area again!
