Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

The wait time is rather ridiculous for even the most basic of items from the menu. It seems the biggest focus behind the counter is joking about obnoxiously loud, with emphasis on ignoring the customers.

If I could give zero stars I would! I asked for no lettuce no tomato no onions and no pickles on a double whataburger. It was loaded with onions and pickles, I specifically double checked at the window and asked them to make sure it had no onions or pickles because I do not mind pulling off lettuce or tomato but I am allergic to onions where they cause me a severe headache to where I cannot focus and see. I got this burger and my wife’s salad in the drive thru. I take a bite of mine because I am on the road home to take my wife dinner after surfing and a mouthful of onions and pickles is what I get. I will add a photo of my wife’s salad that looks like it may have been returned after someone pulled apart the flat paper thin chicken.

This was my first time trying Whataburger. My parents have talked about it for years and about it was the best burger ever I believe my mom’s hometown Mooresville North Carolina had one but I’m not sure about that. But they would go on and on about Whataburger. So last week it was late after the fireworks if you’ve read my other reviews we ate at Culver’s before the fireworks and then several hours later we were still hungry so we decided to stop at Whataburger. I don’t remember what I got but it was basically like the number one the burger fries combo. Not only were my parents correct It was a great burger and it was huge I couldn’t finish it. The fries were perfect. I highly recommend Whataburger but the best thing about our visit was… the car in front of us… It seemed like a group of teenagers. The passenger came back with a drink and said that it was root beer and handed it to me I was very confused until the cashier said they had bought our meal and by the time we realized they had sped off. So, we did the same and we paid for the meal behind us.

My past experience has shown that this location is week above average. However, 2 of the last 3 visits have me wondering – do I really need to check the soft drink machine before I order just to make sure they have ice? Seriously….ice.

My mother in law and daughter came in not to long ago today stood at counter for 4 minutes while staff walking past them quite a few times with no acknowledgement they were even standing there. They were on cell phones and another girl going into the men’s restroom. Idk what is happening there lately but it’s not good.

Zachary Lee is one of the most amazing managers I’ve ever experienced in a fast food restaurant.

Open late. Friendly, accommodating, and informative staff. Delicious food. A few of the onion rings had extra/dry batter inside but other than that, incredibly satisfying. I’d definitely come here again. Also, if you’re not from Yulee, be aware that you might see a teenager or two (customer not employee) in there with no shoes. Just pretend he’s Huckleberry Finn and you’ll be fine.

The food was fresh but there was a bit of a wait for the food to come to our table. They were moderally busy but for the amount of staff working, service should’ve been faster. We ordered the jalapeno burger, the triple burger meals with a side of large onion rings. Everything was served hot and the burgers are HUGE. If you’re not a mustard lover, be sure to request no mustard or very light mustard because both burgers were drenched with mustard. I also ordered a cinnamon roll but we were to stuffed to give it a try. However, it looks very tasty and will be great after a 30 sec microwave warm. We will visit again because with the size of the burgers, the kids will be full for a number of hours.

We LOVE LOVE LOVE the food and the service is always wonderful. The only reason we gave it 4 stars instead of 5 was our drinks were nothing but carbonated water instead of sprite. We got our food to go so we didn’t know until we got home

First time at a Whataburger and we can’t wait to come back! The staff here was ultra friendly, food was very fresh & hot. I understand the hype over their burgers, they are HUGE and worth every penny. If there was one locally to me in Pennsylvania we would replace five guys with whataburger!
