Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

I have seen a lot of bad reviews about this location but I have a different perspective. I have gone to this location on many occasions and at different times of day. I do admit I prefer going super early or very late because it is not as crowded. My suggestion is to use the mobile app. It is very user friendly, offers you points and rewards for your purchases and allows you to get your order faster. Like most fast food restaurants and many restaurants in general, staffing can be an issue, but I think customers seem to be more demanding instead of empathetic. Use the app, let the staff that is there have a plan of service and I believe you will see a more accurate order. Yes there can be improvements, but I think this location provides great menu options and I want to see it stay in the area. Also their health certificate had a 94 rating when I visited yesterday.

I’ve eaten at Whataburgers all over the country, and the quality has always been excellent.

Morning shift is fantastic and they do a wonderful job. BUT evening shift? Where do I even begin, I waited 30 minutes in curbside before going in. They claimed to have “never registered my order”. I WORK A CURBSIDE JOB and know that’s not how the systems work. I even showed them my online receipt several times before they believed me. Got my food after 45 minutes and they didn’t even grill my burgers… either side. I don’t even know what to say anymore. Will definitely ONLY be getting y’alls breakfast from now on.

I’ve been here about 4 times and each time I’ve ran into the same issues. This last time was something else though. Waited at the intercom for about 15 minutes with no response or anything, then sat at the window for about 35 more minutes. I would’ve drove away if I hadn’t already paid. This was for one sandwich. Then the sand which was not right, alright cool I can ask for what’s missing and I’ll live. I then ask for the ranch I paid for, you know how they have prepackaged sauces right? They hand me a different cup, and this was NOT whataburger ranch. It looked and smelled like some buttermilk ranch you buy at the store, and it seemed like it had been out a bit. It did not look or smell appetizing. You’ll wait forever here, the customer service is not good but the ranch really threw me for a loop, like what in the world lol. Go to the Athens location if you just gotta have some whataburger. You could even drive to the ones in Texas before this one is done with your food.

Came a few months ago and waiting for nearly an hour for my chicken tenders which ended up being pretty underwhelming. Only decided to try it again tonight because Most places aren’t open past 10:00. I called at 10:00 to ask if the dining room was opened all night and got the response “yes sir we’re open 24 hours a day 7 days a week!”.

Whataburger has newly arrived in Huntsville as the company expands. It’s a highly desired fast food establishment from Texas with passionate fans. My wife and I have never eaten at one before so we were excited to give it a try. The staff greeted me kindly, took my order and delivered it promptly — so I have to give them credit for customer service. I measure all fast food burgers against In-N-Out and Five Guys who I believe are the 2 best at delivering a solid burger every time. Our burger was a very good size, fried and accompanied by very good lettuce, tomato, pickles, and onion — the perfect combination. The French fries were very good – stayed hot and crispy all the way home— thought the large fry I ordered should have been bigger. Overall a decent burger, nothing to shout about. The meat taste wise was similar to a Burger King burger. The bun and veggies sets them apart — Whataburger is a much better burger than Burger King. Even though it’s not even close to in-n-out, I will come back again.

I have been to many Whataburgers and I’ve had a great experience. This one can’t seem to get it together, particularly at night. The drive thru can easily take over 30 minutes. The food is often cold or incorrect. I know everywhere has staffing issue but this whataburger just can’t figure it out. I sat at the drive thru for 10 minutes with no answer and went inside instead. If they weren’t the only place open late I’d go anywhere else.

Same as the other one star reviews unfortunately. There seemed to only be one person working here at 1 PM on a Thursday. I watched the same guy take drive thru orders, take lobby orders, and run food out to people. Took us about 35 minutes to get our food through the drive thru when there were only two cars in front of me.
