It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

This is the second time that I have received cold nasty food. I called and asked if the person who answered the phone was the manager. Her name is Brittany. I explained to Brittany that I have just left the location and when I got home, the bag felt warm but the when I ate the fries they were all cold and when I bit into my burger, the meat was also cold. My entire meal was cold! The only thing that should’ve been cold was my soft drink. The drive-through is supposed to be a convenience when you don’t have a whole lot of time but for whatever reason no matter what time it is that you go to this location you’re going to wait 10 to 20 minutes just to get your food, and when you do get your food, it is going to be cold. Not to mention the homeless people that are in the parking lot asking for money before you order your food, and after you order your food asking making me feel extremely unsafe.

Have to say it was late. I was hungry. They were open. The young lady at the counter was polite, efficient, courteous and kind of funny. Seemed to enjoy her work and co-workers as well. Burger and fries were spot on and well prepared. Definitely a fast food positive experience.

Whataburger is usually slow. This one is no different. However, the hamburgers taste fresh and served hot. The fries…eh? There is room for improvement. Usually, Whataburger is the only restaurant open very late at night in the area. This one in particular picks up a ton of business during the midnight hours. The employees can be nice, but they don’t go out of their way to be helpful. I feel like I’ve interrupted their day. The location is a bit sketchy at night, and there are a variety of homeless people nearby. During the day, it’s safe as there are a quite of bit of people around and is adjacent to popular restaurants (Cherry Street). If you are around this area very late at night, this is your place. It’s not my first choice, but it’s good enough for a late night run.

Pulled up at 3:30am expecting to get food that had been sitting under a warmer for 6+hours, but nope! HIGHLY IMPRESSED AND HIGHLY RECOMMEND for middle of the night food!! Initially, I was irritated that we were waiting at the pickup window for 10+ minutes… until I realized these employees were preparing the food as the orders arrived, nothing was sitting in the warmer area… our burgers AND our onion rings were AMAZING and the service was too! Most places have employees that seem irritated that you’re ordering a meal, not these folks. They were just as kind and helpful as the day shift is when the managers there!

This place is in a great location off of Cherry Street. My visits there include seeing employees talking to the manager and great interactions happening, that you don’t get to see often nowadays. The food is tasty! Service is always great with fresh food. I’ve seen people walk in and request the freshest food and get it with NO complaining. You cannot get that anywhere else considered fast food.

This Whataburger has some of the kindest and most helpful employees. I had never had Whataburger breakfast before today. The manager recommended the breakfast bowl. It was a great decision! I really just hate this location. Just left the drive thru and after placing my order they got it wrong, corrected it at the window and me assuming they had got my order correct I thought I was good to go, but after returning home it was still wrong and now here I am hungry, because of the food that was given was not what I ordered and this purchase was a complete waste of money. As a former whataburger employee the job isnt that hard and if the employees cant use their listening ears maybe they need to go back to pre k.

8/21/23 ordered via Uber eats 2-3pc chicken strip dinners added an extra strip for $2.52 and did not receive. I haven’t ordered in a while and it will be a while before I do so again. Forgot how flimsy their fries are. Whataterribe way to end a not great day.
