Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

My first time stopping at a Whataburger. I got the sweet heat burger fries and drink. Hubby got the jalapeno burger and added bacon. Burgers are good size. I remember when the “other” burger places had burgers this size. My burger had a good tang. Was very sticky, had to washy hands before finishing my fries. Love the spicy ketchup not really spicy but had good flavor. Thumbs up and would try another time. Hope they put some in Illinois.

Such a great experience! Went through the drive through last night and they were sooo many cars and it was so busy. But every employee we encountered (which was probably 3-4) were all so kind and had great attitudes, communicated clearly and kindly. They got the food out quick and correctly and the burger…oh wow. It was the best burger I have gotten from whataburger! All the condiments and veggies were perfectly proportioned, bun was perfectly toasted. It was so delicious it’s gonna be difficult for me to not go back there again today! 10/10 experience and we were very impressed. Don’t know if they got new management or if they just started making changes, but either way y’all were awesome!!

The burgers actually came out right when my wife and I went this evening. We went a bit later since work didn’t allow an early meal, we got there about 9pm and the wait was a bit ridiculous but we got through it. The burgers while made right were awfully greasy making the buns soggy. The fries were hot but I think they forgot to salt them. Then after we started to eat we noticed there weren’t any napkins.

Whataburger is the greatest burger I’ve EVER eaten. I originally cringed at the price of a #2 but it was amazing, especially with the spicy ketchup, just WOW. As a refugee from NY to Texas, I wanted to finally try something local, and it was just incredible

They have switched from number markers to names. Not working very well yet. No trays, dine in served in bags. A little awkward eating on flattened bag as a tray. Waited five minutes for extra mustard, at unattended counter. Floors in bathroom needed to be mopped. Sticky soda machines. They looked to be fully staffed, but not really working well together. This store is usually better.

Last two times I was there the burgers were cold. I think it was cooked before we got there. Told the manager and she got us another order. It was just barely warm.

If I could leave zero or negative stars, I would. Horrible customer service, no communication or updates. 25 minute wait for my food. They asked me 3 times what the name in my order was, and then just walked away, didn’t give me an update, expected wait time or anything. Instead of being apologetic and communicating the situation (“It’s a holiday weekend” was the excuse) the manager got belligerent and defensive with me. I ordered through the app, which told me my order would be ready at 12:14. I didn’t get my order until 12:35. I ordered at 12:08. I get that there’s a lunch rush and things get behind. Like I said, all it takes is a good customer service attitude and communication with the people you have waiting. Good luck to any of you who choose to stop here during busy dining hours or a “holiday weekend.”

It was right at lunchtime, pretty long line that’s ok. I just want to know why are the French fries barely warm and stale. Especially with the demand high shouldn’t they be fresh? The ketchup packet was covered in dry ketchup. Thank goodness the burger was good.

My food was hot just the way I like my meal. I will definitely be going there again if I am in the area. They are doing a great job.

We came in with a big group heading home from camp, and our orders were taken quickly and correctly. One server was told to assign and hand out the tent numbers and she said no twice even being told to, and she was saying that in front of the customers.
