It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

The line is always super long at night and the service is slow. The service is friendly though, the only con is that the speed bumps are HUGE there and it feels like you are riding ontop of a huge mountain. I was also told to wait outside in the front of the store for my order since they were getting it ready but i went inside and asked for the order. The manager there, a younger white male, was very kind and helped get my order.

Chili cheese burger was decent but for some reason the chili cheese fries came off bland. It’s the Chilli itself that’s bland cause we all love WB French fries. I think they seasoned the burger enough to help it taste good but the fries need help. The lady running the drive though gave a nice warm welcoming friendly voice over the speaker. That’s unusual for fast food but so appreciated these days.

Whataburger has to be among the top fast food restaurants in the world. It’s in my top 5 for sure. I get the honey BBQ chicken strip sandwich, and it is so delicious. They do take their time serving the food sometimes, but it is always worth the wait. Go here if you want a great burger or sandwich, some great fries, and a good tasting drink.

Came in here after a baseball game on 6/7/2023. Packed, hard to move around. The workers still friendly, none of that “Were busy hate” some places give you.. food was still fresh, tasted good and 100% correct and for as busy as it looked. The wait wasn’t anything to worry about.

Today I had an encounter with a rude employee by the name of ALY. First off she was rude from the start she didn’t acknowledge me walking in because she was to busy laughing and joking with another young man behind the counter totally unprofessional when you have paying customers. After that she gets a attitude with me after I told her I was here for a online order by the name of George she just walks off and goes to the back to continue her important conversation she was having with the young man. So I kindly say excuse me ma’am is my order ready or do you know how long it will be she gets upset AGAIN and starts saying. Oh your order isn’t not ready yet you’re going to be awhile just sit down and wait in a yelling tone. If I was a manager or owner of a restaurant I would not tolerate rate something like this when having customers coming to spend their valuable money with me. But I should have knew better this specific whataburger just can not seem to get it right. They either have rude employees or just the ones who sit along the building and smoke cigarettes all day big disappointment to be a manager here. AVIOD BY ALL MEANS!!!
