It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

Was there on a Wednesday night around 8:00 it was hopping had to wait about 4-5 minutes. The Cashier Ashlynn B was so very nice and helpful with my fist time visiting Whataburger. Food came out in 5-minutes and it was hot l. Got the Double Meat with Cheese and FF. They bring it to your table with Condiments. It’s a great Burger and FF

Got me biscuit n gravy with sausage added extra biscuit then I added large sweet tea and large strawberry chocolate shake mixed. Gave my hashbrowns away. I always ask for ketchup and either i forget to check and or they forget to give me any so gave up on that so gave hashbrowns away.but thats their only flaw so if you want condiments check for them make sure you gottem in ur bag or ur coming back or going without. Goodluck n go fill that belly!

Drive-thru Service is trash. The servers who work there are not all, but most have their head somewhere else. Burgers are not hot but warm like they’ve been sitting. Fries are old, warm, and not even golden anymore because it’s old oil. The server gave my family and I someone else’s order, and went back in to see what was taking ours so long. We had already waited over 20 min, so as a courtesy, my family and I pulled up so the person behind us in the drive-through can leave, and guess what? The server who went back to check on our order forgot about us and assumed we left without checking first. My husband had to go inside and had a talk with the manager, who honestly didn’t care. When we got our food finally, it was warm and fries were cold. Spending over 30 dollars to get this trash, I’m not happy at all, but what are you going to do? They have been going downhill for a while now. Hopefully, something better comes along.

We order from here regularly using the app. They are never within ten minutes of the time estimated on the app. Plan to spend extra time waiting and possibly having to go inside to get you food even though you chose the curbside option. However, the food is good.

Whataburger used to be king when it came to fast food burgers. Unfortunately, ever since that Chicago corporation bought them out, the quality has dropped significantly. Still better than McDonalds, and like every other burger in existence, better than Burger King, but now maybe on par (if not slightly less tasty) with Wendy’s if I’m going to be completely honest. The staff is always incredible at the La Vernia location, and they usually get the orders correct. A small handful of times they have a small hiccup or a small piece of the order is missing, and they rush to correct it right away. I wish the staff could be rated with 6 stars. The atmosphere is a basic Whataburger atmosphere, but they keep it clean. The one thing I cannot get enough of there is their shakes and malts. The malts are absolutely delicious and a perfect consistency, well blended, and perfectly sweet. Especially perfect during this rediculous heat wave

The food was tasty as usual. The problem is the cost. It has gone up a full Dollar in just one for the same thing that I bought. That’s over 10% for nothing. It went up 40% the last year for the same thing. I will give up eating at any kind of restaurant even when it was supposed to be a bargain burger joint with these absurd price increases.

Eaten there twice since moving to town. Both times our burgers were overcooked and not good at all. Workers seemed like we were bothering them by coming in. I like Whataburger but I won’t be back to this one.
