Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
Circa-1950 fast-food chain for counter-serve burgers, some stacked with multiple patties. Based on 5 reviews, the restaurant has received a rating of 4.3 stars. Price $

This Whataburger is unique in that it is the only 2 story ever built. Of course, same great delicious food is served here. If you are visiting from another part of the country and have never tried Whataburger, you MUST stop here before you leave the area. The atmosphere is comfortable and cozy. I highly recommend this place for your next meal!!

This location gets pretty busy due to it being a flagship store. Food is good like all the other locations. It takes a little bit to get your food since it’s all cooked at order time. Get a seat on the second floor for a nice view of Corpus Cristi Bay. Don’t forget to snap a pic with the founder before you leave.

A great place to eat breakfast. This two story has a elevator in the restaurant. The view is amazing and service good. Get there early for good parking and avoid crowds.

First time at a Whataburger and it was great! Was a fun and tasty experience! The burgers are huge and delicious! And the fries were good and hot! Love that they bring around ketchups and sauces to the tables. Offering upstairs dining is unique for a fast food restaurant, especially when you can take an elevator ride to get there!

disband be where Whataburger started this is not where service starts staff is looking at me crazy and refusing to take order they look at each of the stopped to look at me and each other to see if who was going to help me then they would stop and pull out their cell phones and get on phone. and let’s not talk about the smell . it smells like fresh throw up from them to you basically at the end the whole all the staff refused to help me other than that the view is nice

We ordered 3 sausage egg & cheese taquitos at 5:57 AM. I am just wondering WHY it took 15 minutes to receive our order.

This is supposed to be their flagship restaurant, the pinnacle of the Whataburger brand.

Interesting site with some history to it as well. Two level seating with an upstairs outdoor patio with great views. Good and consistent food, quick delivery, reasonable prices and friendly service.
