It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

Worst experience ever!!! Ordered online and order supposed to be ready by 12:16am. Told employee at counter I was here for so and so order. She said let me check for you and walked to back,came back up front didn’t say anything to me and started taking other order at counter and walking food out to customers dining in. Bag was placed on counter which I realized 10min later was my food. Nobody said anything so when I got back in line and asked employee if my order was ready she went to the back again to check and came back up front and said oh here’s your order(which has been sitting there as stated earlier) but we have to brew the coffee you ordered. By this time it’s almost been 50min since my order was to be ready. My wife called and said she had called and talked the manager in charge and told her he’d called the name for order numerous times and that no one was in the lobby. I had been there the whole time!!! Would not give my wife his name and became very rude with her. He came up front and told employees they were gonna remake order and that’s the last I saw of him. An hour later the order was ready and the employee at counter just said here you go and started taking another order. NOT EVEN AN APOLOGY OF ANY KIND FROM ANYONE THERE LET ALONE THE MANAGER ON DUTY… RIDICULOUS!!! Some serious training on how to provide customer service is sorely needed at this establishment….I WILL NEVER GO HERE EVER AGAIN!!!

Previously Good and consistent… Updated to 3 stars. They’ve been under filling the fries lately and not asking about condiments or putting napkins in the bag. Also, frequently handing drinks with loose lids and drippings on the side.

Waited about 22 minutes for two meals. The kid at the counter was trying his best but I’m not sure what was going on at the burger/fry station. When we got our burgers and fries they were kinda cold, the fries especially. The manager was in the front jingling her keys and doing things with the register but I could already tell she didn’t even want to be there. Heard her telling someone picking up an Uber eats/DoorDash order that “if they don’t ask for ketchup (on the ticket), they don’t get ketchup” when asked for a couple of packets of ketchup. Then she says “well there’s ketchup on the burger” lol. I love whataburger so I can’t complain about the taste but I think this location probably needs a new manager.

This is one of the most inconsistent Whataburgers I have been to. Sometimes they’re ok and other times not. I’m just completely fed up after this last experience. There was only 2 cars ahead of me and yet it takes over 20 minutes to get my food. It took the girl taking the drive-thru orders 5 minutes to acknowledge me and then they have me and another car that was already there wait over 20 minutes for our food. A car that came in after us got their food quickly because they knew the people working there based on watching the interactions. So customers that came before them got pushed to the side. It looked unprofessional from an outsider’s perspective. After the other person is done chatting with an employee and they drive away, we finally get our food. The burger was cold and all the fries were cold and soggy. I ate only half of the meal because it didn’t taste good and I’m currently feeling sick after eating the food. I’m finding it hard to believe the food is made fresh when it’s cold as soon as I get it. I can get my food faster at Chick-fil-a with 15 cars in front and their food is still warm. The Dairy Queen across the street makes their food faster and it’s still warm. Also, DQ’s burgers taste fresher. Sadly, I won’t be coming back to this Whataburger location. Please work on customer service, making the food in a timely manner, and making it fresh (no cold burgers and soggy fries).

Fast, efficient, and good. The food was great and the service as they were very nice. I went for breakfast with the listed addition jalapeño biscuit. It’s also a great location and only 1 story. It does have a wheelchair accessible ramp. Surprisingly, a tad pricier than what I saw last time

We came in with our family for burgers and had such a great experience. The manager, Patty, went out of her way to be friendly and helpful. While watching interactions with employees that were neurodivergent, she was respectful and kind even when she did not think people were watching. Food was fresh and correct even with 3 kids and special requests. We will come back to this location for sure!

I appreciate that this location hires the handicapped, yet they need training. After a 20 minute wait our order arrived stone cold. Fries and burgers were old and cold one bun was hard, as they had been sitting in the warmer for two days. When I ask to talk to someone, the guy at the counter looks at me funny then shrugs his shoulders.
