It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

1st time trying the green chile double burger….it was delicious It does get pretty busy around lunch hour 11a – 1p M-F, so plan accordingly. Not many places to eat in this area, but certainly glad i stopped at this location. Would love to try some of their other burger varieties next time.

We were traveling and happened to be near an area with Whataburger and decided to give it a try! Since we had never had it before and we where traveling we didnt want to hold up the drive through so we parked in the drive through and looked up the menu. So kudos for having an online menu and it being easy to navigate. We ended up settling on the southern bacon double burger combo. One of us is usually the braver food person, really enjoyed the burger it was a good size and once finished didnt really have room left for the fries – however i tried them and they where fresh hot and perfectly seasoned (i ended up sharing with my pups – they loved the fries and they know good potatoes being from the pnw) my husband who is usually your more basic burger guy surprised me by choosing the same burger- he finished off about 3/4 of his burger and about 1/2 the fries ( again a full factor ) if the opportunity came again we definitely would return and likely try something different, maybe on the smaller size!

I sat in the drive thru about 2 minutes. I yelled hello. A female rudely said, “Can you give us a few minutes? We’re working on a big order right now.” If I were greeted and explained the circumstances, I would have stayed.

Placed my order in advance for curbside pick up. Got there, checked in, waited 15mins in my car, tried calling twice no answer. Went inside told the cashier I was there to pick up my order waited ANOTHER 15 mins. Finally had to just walk out WITHOUT my food because now I’m late for work. This is the second time this has happened and I no longer will be going to whataburger. TERRIBLE customer service! Save your time and money.

I’ve had whataburger before, but didn’t think much of it. It’s a slightly better version of a whopper. But what set this trip apart was the breakfast. You have to try the breakfast burger. It’s amazing. This joint was clean and quick too! I’ll definitely be back.

I went through the drive thru and they said they couldn’t take cash because they didn’t have change and I didn’t have any cards that I could use. So I gave the cashier didn’t have bills but had coins to give change I gave them 15.50 for 14.48 thinking the didn’t have coins and I got back 2 cents because they had no ones, got me on that one

I mean it’s a burger place. Good was good. Drive-thru person was new so when she told me they were out of shakes she was like you want something else to drink. Yes, I want something else and the difference in price refunded. Had to go inside to visit manager for that fun time. Manager was cool and took care of me.

The food was good but if you want to order from this location I prefer using doordash or uber eats. Avoid coming here at all costs this location and the area around it has a horrible smell and I was from out of town so I waited for an uber outside for a couple minutes and the stench is just terrible please just order online take it from me. Spent 32.00 on 2 meals the burgers were dry and unfavorable due to being over cooked. Fries were under cooked tasted like raw potatoes. They didn’t give me the apple pie we ordered. They charge 42 cents for Ranch yet give you 10 cups of ketchup that we didn’t ask for. Over all was not happy with our food. The gal that worked there was pleasant floors in restaurant were dirty.
