It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. For fast food, this is a great burger. They are HUGE. Not your run of the mill fast food burger. I get a single cheeseburger, and it’s plenty. Ingredients have always been fresh, and I’m a stickler for fresh lettuce and tomatoes. Drive through is quick, and staff have always been friendly.

I was impressed for a newer location it’s a very clean store even during a busy lunch hour on a weekend day. When I walked in there wasn’t hardly a table open but they moved quickly between my order being fast and people leaving. The food is just as good as any other whataburger in the valley. Top notch quality just how you like it.

Super clean and very friendly staff. The food was delicious, as expected although they did miss the bacon on my burger. This placed opened not that long ago so figured some mistakes are common at the beginning. All in all, I was happy with the great service and even happier that we finally have one here in Surprise. Will definitely be back for more.

Always great service. I normally stop at around 1:30am on my way home from work. Everyone is just as cheerful as during the day. I highly recommend the Southern Bacon Double and the Banana Pudding shake while they’re around!

This place is usually fantastic. However, after stopping by at 6pm, (busy hours – I get that), we ordered a Whataburger meal and an adult chicken tender meal. Both large. The burger looked like it was microwaved and the chicken tender literally looked like the kids meal…$10 for three tiny, crispy pieces of chicken and fries. Don’t get me wrong, I love Whataburger and go here frequently but this was the most disappointing quality of food we’ve experienced.

Unfortunately I ordered two meals from this location today. Both times to bun was so soggy the burger was inedible, should have been incredible. I called to let the employees know there is a problem with the product. Whoever (didn’t give a name) answered the phone informed me that they would only replace 1 of 2 meals that were of poor quality. Usually this store does a great job. Shame standards have gone to pot along with the concept of customer service. If you go check your food before you leave.

We were impressed with the service provided at this Whataburger. Order taking, delivery to table and special requests were quickly accomplished. One of the young men in glasses worked all of the restaurant area, from keeping tables and other areas clean to helping at the front taking orders. I spoke to him and thanked him for his good service. (Sorry I didn’t get his name)
