Excellent food, great service and a wonderful family of owners. My son and I were traveling across country and picked What’s Cooking based on the reviews and they did not disappoint. The first morning we did the breakfast burritos which were awesome. The tortillas were house made!!! The second morning I did the country fried steak which was all that I hoped it would be and my son stuck with the burrito since it was so good the first time. I would highly recommended this restaurant and would definitely revisit.

Clean, friendly service. I had the Philly steak and cheese w/ hand cut fries. It was very well prepared and the portion size was wonderful. I could have easily shared my meal with someone. They have great seating inside or outside, today it was still too cold to sit outside.

This is absolutely some of the best food I’ve had in town, being a local I’ve eaten everywhere in town over the years, and this is one I revisit a often. The atmosphere is calming and home like, the Horse Creek being right next to the restaurant makes it that much better. Most of the food is made from scratch including the desserts! The prices are quite reasonable and worth it. The waitress is super friendly, and hard working. The cook makes the food with good flavor and portion. Highly recommend.

I went here because they were open later than everybody else! It was worth it! I ordered a burger and fries and it tasted great. They were a little busy so I think the cook was in a hurry because the fries could have been cooked a little more to make them perfect but they still tasted good. The staff seemed a little new but were friendly and the visit was great. Will eat here again next time I’m in town.

Amazing quality food. Simple but executed to perfection. The tortillas are hand made to order and are by far some of the best tortillas I’ve ever had. The building is a small cabin-type house on the Horse River. The outdoor seating on the river is breathtaking.

Felt like home, I was never served with toasted burger bread (which is kind of custom in India) until I arrived here which made me very happy. The chicken pattie was real juicy and yummy. Love the stream in the backdrop. The gentleman/owner was nice and friendly. Overall lovely experience.

Small, slightly hidden cafe with the best Philly Cheesesteak I have ever eaten. My husband had the cheeseburger and it was delicious. Terrific staff. We sat outside along the stream.

Being a Cowboy town, Dubois isn’t going to have Gluten Free buns, but I had one of the best lettuce wrapped hamburgers ever at What’s Cooking. It was done to perfection. The hand cut fries were great. Thanks What’s Cooking, you made this Gluten Intolerant girl very happy!

Out of 4 places we ate dinner in Dubois this was 3rd on our list. The food was very good on flavor but very small in portion. A hamburger starts off at $8. Then you add cheese and fries and its an $11 meal. That should fill me up- it didnt. My 6’4″ 240lb husband ordered a double patty and he still could have ate more. Fries are very tasty but you get a small handful. Drinks come in a tiny glass so I ended up drinking 5 refills. If you arent very hungry then this is a great place to eat because the flavor is very good. Plus sitting by the river is very nice.
