The people there are very nice and the service is outstanding! They’re Catfish are to die for! The coleslaw is home made and delicious. The Shrimp is sooooo good. We had Catfish buffet they had deep fried shrimp , breaded Catfish, coleslaw, pinto beans and fried potatoes. I believe that the buffet was Friday afternoon and then they have it again Friday night. We walked out of the Whispering Pines Cafe so full. I’m going to go back again. Hope to see you there.

Great food! Our waitress was really nice too. No complaint’s. I’d give this a 5 star but the only thing I didn’t like was they allow smoking. I had my kids with me and we left smelling like an ashtray. The portions are big and tastes great. I’d definitely go back, and I highly recommend this place.

I consider myself a club sandwich conisouir and the use of cooked ham instead of cold cuts was amazing. Probably the best club I have ever had. Wife had the catfish special. Perfect. Not over fishy or dry and melts in the mouth!! This will be a regular on our list!! Thank you!!!!

We have been only a few times. We’re from Joplin and have family that live here in Houston. I rated your cafe a 5 star because very friendly and helpful. Also the regulars are so kinda even to have a short conversation with. Oh by the way the food is amazing. I have and will continue to recommend your cafe to everyone.

I just love the atmosphere there. A great place to eat and you get that down home comfortable feeling. Great service and attention. Prices are great and if you leave there hungry, it’s your fault. Servings are very generous, especially for the prices. Awesome place to go and keep doing what you’re doing cuz it works.

Thought I’d give there idea of a Ruben a try. It didn’t come close to a DOG FOOD Rendition of SOS THE TASTE WAS YUCK. I PICKED THE SANDWICH APART WITH MY FORK TO SEE WHAT it was ? It had the taste of 10-90 Ground BEEF. WHAT A JOKE !! IT could of been taken in a Doggie Bag kept in the car for a week and tasted he same

Came highly recommended- what a Let Down! Food was mediocre and service was horrible. The worse part, Saturday morning breakfast and cook and waitress were all sitting at a table with their friends chain smoking- everything in the place including menus, chairs, walls, ceilings are so coated with nicotine it stains your clothes and makes food and coffee taste like an ashtray! So disappointed! Could be a great little cafe but if you’re new or just visiting plan upon being ignored or just stared at, they’ll serve you when its convenient or their done smoking! If you’re a non-smoker pass this place by? Or you’ll consume a carton of smokes without ever lighting up before you’re done paying the bill… you best have good health insurance.
