Ate here after a long morning in Fargo. Was perfect distance to stop on our ride home. Small Cafe, cozy, crowded if full. Does have overflow seating, but like everywhere was short staffed. We were able to be seated fairly quickly for busy lunch time. Food came quickly after ordered. Coffee was good. Food was delicious-Cajun sauce over hasbrowns, vegetables, and over-medium eggs. My 5 year old got pancakes. Bacon was crisp. Staff was super friendly. If you are in Hawley or driving through they have a variety of foods on the menu, reminds me of home cooking. If you live in Hawley and are bored, they could use some help, even if just a couple hours during busy meal times.

The only drawback for this place is the wait times, I mean I understand, I do. It’s hard to find help in a small town, and such. The sandwiches are great, the atmosphere is awesome. Have a great dining experience.

An impulsive decision to stop at a local establishment in Hawley MN, brought us to this absolutely charming place. We were blessed to have Cher as our waitress she is as fun and real as it gets. They offer breakfast all day long, one in our party had eggs Bennie said it was awesome. Our wraps and BLT’s were large and delicious. It was so good we are coming back on our way back home in a week.

I biked here to check it out and decided to stop here, ordered the Short Stack (3 pancakes or 3 french toast, I picked pancakes). the food was great and the service was amazing! 10/10 would recommend! best service I’ve had from any resturant so far! stop in and have a bite to eat at the Whistle Stop! cheers!
