This is my favorite restaurant. Every time I have visited so far I have ordered something different and it is always delicious! The service is always wonderful and quick. 10/10 everytime. And yes absolutely order a dessert!!

Average food, typical Iowa “we have nothing healthy here” food. Server didn’t care for my specific questions regarding food prep. Barbecue not bad, the brisket was dry.

I’m so sorry I didn’t even think to get pictures, but here are the leftovers brought home (yes it’s alot, and I came home full). The atmosphere was genuine down home feeling. Which I love and appreciate. The menu was easy to read and understand. The menu on Facebook is nice to know what they serve before you decide to go or check it out (especially if you’ve never been, this was our first time). The food was absolutely amazing on flavor, and portions for price….crazy reasonable!!! Seriously, if you haven’t been, my only advice is GO. You truly won’t be sorry. Oh, and service, done by the best server ever. Super friendly, didn’t hover, and just knew the right moments to check on us.

Great place for Friday night dining! I ordered the BBQ sampler with potato salad & baked beans. Came with a dinner roll and I washed it down with root beer. Topped it of with coconut cream pie. Delicious!

Very friendly staff, food is simply… bland. There’s no sauce, no dry rub. No condiments. They smoke the meat and serve it plain. Serving size was average. Even the pie was bland. Just not for me.

Great little small town restaurant that I have had the pleasure visiting when I go see my parents in Missouri. We stopped in a few times and had a great breakfast and lunch. Will definitely be coming back.

If you’re ever in southern Iowa, it’s worth the drive to visit this amazing g restaurant in Exline. Delicious downhome food, friendly staff, affordable. Check their schedule before you go as they are not open every day. So yummy!!!!

Very good old school diner. Just a note, no alcohol is served here. We ordered the poutine appetizer which may have been a limited time special but it was very good. It was crinkle cut fries, cheese curds and topped with a brown gravy (delicious).

Really nice place to eat off the beaten path. We received great service and the food was really good. We had the sampler platter and the mac and cheese with meat toppings. The smoked meats are very well done. The mac and cheese is super creamy. The restaurant was sparkling clean and a great rustic diner decor. If you are within 50 miles of Exline, it is definitely worth the drive.
