First time at the White Spot Cafe and the food did not disappoint. Sat at the counter during a busy breakfast time and the service was still outstanding. I ordered the reindeer sausage breakfast (pictured), and it was truly delicious! The home fried put the whole meal just over the top with goodness. Restaurant is a bit small so there may be a wait during busier times but I would very highly recommend the White Spot Cafe!

This was one of my FAV spots in Anchorage. I ordered the famous Halibut fish sandwich and I cannot wait to go back and order another! It was so fresh and even though it was fried, it was not heavy and greasy. I also ordered the Smoked Salmon Chowder which was flavorful and gave me the warmth I needed. The service was wonderful and welcoming and gave family vibes. Another unique feature is its self community seating and you may be able to gain a new pal by sharing a table with one of the locals!

Great food (I had the breakfast sandwich with reindeer sausage), great staff (so friendly and full of interesting information about the history of the cafe), and great ambience with cool old photos and memorabilia. I could have hung out there all afternoon and will highly recommend this place to everyone!

Why, oh why did I keep driving by this spot for years and not go in? As soon as I sat down and saw the man near me at the bar eating a pancake that was bigger than his plate, I knew I was in for a treat. I ordered the reindeer sausage and eggs, and I was overwhelmed by emotion when I realized the home potatoes are just like my cousin makes, fresh cut and perfectly browned. The eggs were masterfully made. The reindeer was delicious, and a large proportion. The only option for toast is wheat, and oh the jams! The jams are homemade, chunky and unforgettable. My server was kind, and said that I need to come back and try their lunches sometimes and the look on his face when he talked about the burger made me want a burger. He also mentioned the infamous halibut sandwich. Super clean restaurant, hit all the right notes for me. The White Spot is the right spot to go for yummy food.

This is more of a diner than a cafe with a lunch counter, booths along the wall, and tables in the center. Very casual and a great place for lunch. The smoked salmon chowder was OK (see Orso for amazing smoked salmon chowder). But the White Spot’s claim to fame is indeed their halibut sandwich which was delicious! Fries were also tasty. Service was attentive but not hovering. Would recommend for a casual meal.

I will admit, I was getting a little frustrated, but after everything was said and done, this place is FREAKING AWESOME! The breakfast was to die for! The portions are humongous. To where I witnessed couples was sharing a plate of food.
