Very small place and it was quite cold in there. The person working behind the counter was very nice. The fried pickles were unlike any we ever got before and at first we weren’t sure what to think of them but then they quickly became addictive and we couldn’t stop eating them. Very crunchy and delicious. The loaded tots were very good. I got the green chili burger. The onions on it were raw and not pickled like it said but I really didn’t mind. My fiance got the Mangold burger and it was very good however it had the tiniest bit of the horseradish cream sauce on it so it was barely detectable and we wouldn’t know it had it on there if we didn’t read the menu.

Whitmans was AMAZING to work with when I was planning a large group for lunch. I called number of places and they all wanted large deposits. I very rarely write reviews, and I have no intention to review bomb, but the food I ordered was unusually bad. I ate here on 3/23/23 at approx. 8pm. I ordered the Hound burger and added a fried egg – I am not sure if the burger patty was burnt, or if I just disliked the applewood smoked bacon mixed into the meat, but the taste of the burger patty was horrendous. I also ordered the side of Brussels sprouts – the flavor was nice, but there was so much oil in the container that it had soaked into the paper take-out bag along with the paper container and was just running onto everything. I lost my appetite for that. Considering I spent $28 total, I am disappointed.

If I could give less than one I would. I had the absolute worst service/experience. Table of nine. Went with customers and could not have been more embarrassed. Waited 15-20 minutes before waitress came over to get our drink order. But not all received drinks. After drinks they took the food order and 15-20 minutes later the waitress came back and said her boss lost the food order and had to take it again. We received food about twenty minutes later and only recieved two out of nine meals. Finally again about 25 minutes later the rest of the food came and the final two drinks that we did not receive. Then I was on the last bite of my cheesesteak and found a drywall screw in my mouth. That was it I went directly to find the manager. I was so lucky I did not bite down hard. A gross experience all around. I will NEVER go there again. I always look at reviews but never post any. I will have to start posting to be fair. Don’t go.

A bit expensive and some think the portions are small but I think it’s the perfect size with relation to the bun and lettuce and other toppings. The raw onion on the classic burger was great and the homemade chips are delicious. Fries are good, too. Service was friendly and quick. Will go back for sure, we saw someone get a steak and cheese and it looked really good.

This place is tucked into a quiet corner of St Marks Street. The burgers were on point with juicy meats, hot fries and optional unique toppings. In fact, I will have to come back to this place to try peanut butter on my burger. This place small hidden bathroom. The service was quick and my server was friendly.

It has a very 2010s hipster vibe and I’m into it. Probably one of the few places I’ve seen with a peanut butter burger on the menu (it’s very good) I def recommend this to anyone looking for a burger joint in the area. Be careful of the spicy burger because it is well and truly very very spicy!!

Disappointed based on the reviews so good. The fries were greasy and cold and dark which indicated that the oil had been reused too many times. The waitress was very nice and assured us that the buns would be warmed over the grill. Wrong! Cold buns! The meat was well seasoned and juicy. Would not ever go there again for this $16 burger. We paid with tip $82 for three burgers and one fry and a couple of soft drinks!
