We take a lot of care in creating our seasonal brunch and pastry menus using locally grown produce and high quality organic ingredients. Stopped in here as we were waiting for our tow truck….the employee at the front counter was incredibly sweet and warm and welcomed us. I had the savory galleta with salad and an egg and my friend had the GF toast with eggs and a salad. Best GF bread I’ve ever tried. You can definitely tell that the food and coffee is fresh. Unfortunately we got rained out of the patio seating but it’s a cute spot. Highly recommend

I see why this place is so highly rated. Not only is the atmosphere very warm and welcoming, but the staff is very knowledgeable and the kitchen workers know what they’re doing! One of the most delicious vegan bowls I’ve ever had and the plain sweetened coffee was outstanding. Truly exceeded my expectations. This is a must visit café for anyone in Long Beach.

Small but cozy and lots of places to walk to around the neighborhood. Street parking and also paid parking lot nearby. They have some ready bowls you can pickup and they are pretty fast with the food. Great coffee and some wine bottles etc to purchase.

I crave their house made nut milk, it’s the perfect addition to any of their coffees. This morning, I tried the Pumpkin Turmeric Latte and the egg breakfast sandwich with goat cheese. I wish I had a photo but I devoured it. They can also make a refreshing michelda! The staff is so friendly and inviting this is a LB 4th Street must.

The owner described how they source everything firm the farmers market. No Sysco deliveries and you can taste the difference. The frittata, the chia pudding, even the toast, were all so perfectly prepared and alive with flavor. Everyone working seemed to be invested and engaged. This restaurant is truly a gem for this neighborhood. Even if you’re simply looking for the best in craft coffee. I wish Wide Eyes Open was in my neighborhood every day, but alas I am eternally nomadic.

The best scrambled eggs I’ve EVER had in my life. The best coffee my husband has had out EVER & he’s an aficionado w/a Moccamaster & special mushroom organic coffee. Freshest foods & baked goods. The preparation of ingredients is OMG delicious. And satisfying for hours bc it’s nutritious & made w/heart & soul. The tables are comfie in front of their cozy storefront. The service is great–even the complimentary water is fantastic! Their prices are comparable to any eatery, but their quality & flavor outshine every other restaurant!
