I went a couple days ago with the whole family for a long needed get-together. Our waitress was Rhianna, service was wonderful and she had an amazing attitude. I ordered the Pulled pork sandwich was absolutely wonderful and super flavorful. And for desert she recommended the banana pudding which tasted just like my grandmothers!!! Wonderful service and staff. 5 stars for this restaurant !

This place is not the same place I remember. Hickory smokehouse was awesome. Full portions and decent prices. Now the name is Wild River and the service there was warming and nice however the place has a nice set up but the food is not worth it. We ordered the west style chicken and my broccoli was soggy and cold not sure if they know what steamed broccoli means… The chicken tasted like is had been burnt and then slapped on some sauce and half cooked bacon. The “river dam” tasted very bland very little flavor. Not to mention they didn’t have a road sign out so we missed it completely. I say go next door to Logan’s if you really want to get your money’s worth!!

Cherie W. was hands down the best server we have ever had at any restaurant! She was pleasant from the moment we walked in the door! Not only was she amazing and helpful with us, but with several other tables. Super happy, upbeat, and great personality! It is rare to receive good service let alone exceptional from start to finish. I thought she HAS to be the manager! I am a retail store manager and my husband is a customer service manager, so we appreciate great service. Brand new, had to check it out. The place has a homey feel to it. The bbq wasn’t much to brag about, the fried green tomatoes were a little mushy, but the armadillo eggs were amazing. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Just a little over priced but with the 15% military discount not bad at all.

While food is very good, PORTIONS were extremely small. You should know I ordered from the “lunch specials” menu. I had smoked turkey sandwich with fries and coleslaw. Sandwich was barely 4 ounces of meat, and there weren’t enough fries to feed a small child. Service was adequate but biggest DOWNER was being given PIGGLY WIGGLY KETCHUP!!!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME??

first off…i would’ve given no stars but google won’t let me. me and my coworkers have given this place a chance 1 too many times. the servings are small and the food isn’t that great. food was cold and tasted like left overs. the cup of soup comes in a shot glass size cup and taste exactly like wendys chili. i wouldn’t be surprised if they went to wendys to get the chili. save your time and money and go right next door to logans. logans isn’t that great either but better than this place. i don’t know how this place even stays open.

Horrible service the last two times my wife and I have eaten there. The first time the waitress went shopping, yes she left the restaurant to go shopping, after taking our order. Came back 15 minutes latter and asked what we had ordered. This time the waitress just was not around. She repeatedly went into the back for 10 minutes at a time. Must be something really interesting out back.

It was okay, nothing super special. I’m a very picky eater and asked for no butter or seasoning on my fish or veggies and no rice and there was butter on the broccoli and I had rice. Husband wasn’t that impressed either said Bandanas is better. Plus it was a little pricey.

If you want REAL “Texas” BBQ, Hickory River knows how to smoke the most delicious barbecue, just like they do in Texas! I visited their Florida location, and have to say, diners in Florida will appreciate this new restaurant.
