Nikki was our server and did a wonderful job of taking care of our table. We had nine people and many questions. The food was way above average. I have to ride a scooter and they accommodated me perfectly.

I am an recently retired Executive Chef, and former restauranter. Therefore I have a very educated palate, and observe everything very, very closely. I came here with an acquaintance very recently, and ordered the Prime Rib. Our server didn’t know how to properly open a bottle of wine, nor how to pour a tasting. They just filled my glass up way past the “break” in the glass.

Awesome cocktails served by Michelle. Executive Chef Jon is a master of his craft. Fried mushrooms are somehow meaty and juicy. Bacon wrapped shrimp was to die for. The flavor notes in the soup of the day were complex yet comforting. All around great dining experience 10/10

We had 2 great experiences at William Bs. We got the best server the first time we ate there and knew we had to get her name. Denielle is amazing! So so friendly and knowledgeable about the food and drinks. And she is so friendly just an all out fantastic server and person. Best experience in east Peoria

The food was not great (have tried multiple times), BUT our server Karla is the BEST server we have had in a very long time.

First of all, the wait staff was very attentive. However, the food for the a la carte pricing is not worth it. My husband had to return his steak as it was overcooked. My smaller fillet was very dry and the $8 asparagus was not even edible. The wait person said that there has been a lot of complaints about it but the cook said it’s because it’s grilled. It was very small and limp and overcooked. The best part was the bread. For the price, you can find a much better meal at Jim’s or Alexander’s or any of the great Peoria Heights establishments. Don’t go if you are looking for a reasonably priced great steak.

I do not normally write reviews of restaurants, but due to my experience here, I decided that I absolutely must write a review. Overall the service and ambiance was what I would have expected from a high-end restaurant. Unfortunately, that was the highlight of the experience. When I pay $36.00 for just a steak and not counting any side dishes or beverages, I expect the “chef” to know the difference between a medium-rare, rare, and blue-rare steak. I used quotations around the word chef, due to the fact that I had to send back my New York Strip steak twice. I had requested that my steak be cooked blue-rare, which is indicated by a cool blue center and a thin layer of cooked meat on the edges. The first steak that I received was cooked medium rare, which is indicated by very little (but some) pink in the middle. The second steak that I received was cooked rare, which is indicated by a good deal of pink in the middle. The final steak was somewhere between tartare, and what I would consider blue rare. Now it is worth noting, that I found this preparation acceptable, because I prefer my steaks close to the tartare side of cooked anyway. Part of the reason that I prefer my steaks mooing, is due to the belief that the less protein denaturing that occurs, the more unspoiled the flavor of the meat is and due to the fact that it makes the presence of gristle more prominent. Again, when I am paying $36.00 for just a steak, I expect the absolute best cut of meat possible. Unfortunately, there was quite a bit of gristle present in this cut. Outside of the steak, the grilled asparagus was done as expected, although I had to take a lot of time eating it, hoping in vain that I would be able to enjoy it with my steak. After sending the second steak back, I gave up and finished the (by now) cold grilled asparagus before the third attempt arrived. I am grateful, however, for the kindness of the bartender for apologizing to me for the “chef’s” failings. It would have been preferred, though, that after the second time sending my food back, the manager should have had the decency to have approached me instead of leaving it to the bartender to handle the repeated errors. I have had manager visits from restaurants where steak meals are MUCH less expensive after sending the steak back only once.

Most of our food was horrible. The steak and our iced tea and salad was the only thing good.thank goodness for comp tickets because I wouldn’t pay 124$ for anything there. Since our waitress was nice it was hard to tell her. And she got a good tip. potatoe wedges weren’t soft, shrimp scampi had a weird taste (red lobster was better)extra small broccoli floret so tough, rolls tough, french onion soups, not the best, and the carrot cake wasn’t too good either.

Food and service is sublime and personal. I had the salmon and filet. Great filet, however, the salmon stole the show. Coffee rub, raspberry sauce, and pesto with a perfectly prepared salmon? Have to come back again. My husband had the special, prosciutto wrapped grouper over sautéed greens with a hand poured sauce which was very different and delicious.
