Decided to give Wilson’s a try & I’m so glad we did! Even just after opening on a Thursday the place had a nice crowd. We ordered clam chowder & poblano soup (absolutely wonderful) for starters. Hubby had the cedar plank salmon which was very tasty & I had the pecan crusted trout which is some of the best I’ve ever had. There wasn’t just a few pecans crumbled over the top – it was a nice crunchy thick layer. The throat was flaky & very good. Our friendly waitress had our meals out in a timely manner. We’ll definitely be back.

Was very excited to try because we loved David’s in Cedar Hill. Food was excellent. Our server recommended the Cedar Plank Salmon. The recommendations are always a nice touch!! It was very flavorful. Seafood enchiladas were also very good. My mom got the catfish and shrimp, which was a very large portion. The building is gorgeous and clean and will definitely be back.

Food and flavors were on point! Our experience definitely warranted a return trip. A couple minor issues(shrimp “skewer” with the salmon left a LOT to be desired and the pecan crusted trout was a bit bland) but certainly nothing stopping us from coming back. Loved the location!

Food was really good. Everyone at the table agreed, each had a different dish. Shrimp Sergio pasta was a good size portion and very creamy. The sidewinder fries were good, especially the ones that had more seasoning on em.

Enjoyed our visit, nice atmosphere, good service, great fried catfish, decent trout, not great. Great addition to Midlothian, fair pricing, on the high side, reasonable. Dress was casual is ok, you can dress up, which is nice. Full bar, wine selection limited. Had the trout, fried platter, pasta and chicken. Crab cake appetizer, one glass of wine, and sweet tea, hush puppies. Bill was $107, tax included (for 3).

Great food. A reincarnation of David’s Seafood restaurant that closed in Cedar Hill during the pandemic. Same owner and menu. He refurbished an old church, so you sit in genuine wooden pews with lovely stain glass windows surrounding you. Price is as expected for a nice seafood dinner in a creative ambiance. We will certainly return.

The folks that made David’s an icon in Cedar Hill have setup shop in Midlothian’s Founders Row, and Wilson’s Seafood does not disappoint. The food, drinks, and service were absolutely awesome. One of the best old fashioneds anywhere. Can’t wait to go back with friends and share the experience.

After the other family restaurant Dave’s closed down in Cedarhill, my family and I were disappointed. Only because we loved that place! When we found out they built another family restaurant in Midlothian we were so excited! The food and service was great. Most of all I loved the atmosphere.
