Love this place! All the food there I have eaten is delicious. My favorite is the Juicy Lucy. It is an all natural beef patty stuffed with cheddar cheese and grilled onions on a very good bun. Awesome! All the staff and the locals are so very friendly.

Went in and yes there is no maitre d’ and yes everyone is too busy to really stroke your ego as half of Nebraska appeared to be there on a Friday night. Pulled up my big boy pants and asked if seats were taken and the waitress said no have a seat, what do you want to drink. Gave me a great local brown ale. I ordered the Peking duck and the wife ordered Bouillabaisse. Seriously, look around what do they have plenty of steaks and potatoes and that is what we ordered and the best I have had in a long time. Would have paid $200 in Los Angeles for that. Got to speak with the new owner and the former owner who came in to help him on a busy Friday night. Very cool.

Although we arrived 5 min after they stopped serving food, they cooked for us (6) anyway. Prices were good, and the food was good as well. They were able to accommodate a vegetarian, and 2 who were lactose intolerant.

Great food, great staff of people. Quick and easy. Good specials most nights of the week. Pool tables and some games available, some entertainment for people of all ages. Small salad bar but enough to call it side salad. Prices are reasonably fair and the portions will never leave you hungry. It’s worth the drive for sure, or if you live in Paxton, it’s walking distance from nearly any home! Definitely a weekly repeat for me!

The food and portions were both very good. And the prices are very reasonable. We had the chicken fried chicken special for $13.95 it was very tasty and we also had the marinated sirloin steak for $18.85 it was delicious. The service was fast and pleasant.

Very interesting place. Went in, sat down only to sit a long time and finally someone brought a menu and told me I had to order up front. Once I ordered and the food was brought out she just dumped it in front of me and took off without asking if I need anything. But I’ll have to say the “Juicy Lucy” burger I got was great!

I’m passing thru on 4th of July, and found this place open! It was after 8, so I thought the kitchen might be closed, but the cook was gracious enough to make me a sandwich. The server recommended the chicken bacon ranch, and It was delish, I inhaled it!
