Quality food and service at a reasonable price. One of the best coffee menus in town. The decor is a collection of local history that adds to the experience. Definitely worth checking out especially since they are now open with a brunch buffet every day but Monday. REAL buttery Mashed Potatoes and Fried Green Tomatoes are a must.

Found this place while in town for a geocache event. Food is phenomenal. Biscuits were savory. Gravy was flavorful. Sausage was some of the best I have ever had. They even had fried chicken…at breakfast! If I am ever in town I am definitely coming back. Service was also friendly and efficient. To top things off there is a store on site.

Deconstructed biscuit and gravy plate, coffee, water. And cinnamon roll bread pudding to go (took to go). $16.96 then added a tip. Good service. Friendly staff.

Good place to get breakfast on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Buffet has all the breakfast items you would want: bacon, eggs, sausage, grits, biscuits, fried apples, chicken tenders, fried livers and more. The buttermilk biscuits are amazing. Would recommend.

All of the food here is outstanding! I’ve had the “It’s a Biscuit Mess,” the “Chicken Skillet,” the chocolate waffle, and even a cowboy cookie. I HIGHLY recommend the Chicken Skillet. It’s a perfectly blended savory explosion. They are also one of the only Mom & Pop locations open on Sundays in Owensboro. It’s a different experience than their Wendy Hollow Restaurant, but equally as amazing!

Wow… what an experience! The atmosphere is so much fun. It is so much fun to look at the walls covered in memorabilia. The staff was so friendly and informative… answering all my questions about the Windy Hollow history. We had to then drive out to the original Windy Hollow restaurant, race track and swimming area after we ate.

Plenty of parking and easy access. As soon as we walked in the door, we were greeted cheerfully and seated quickly. The hostess treated us like friends and quickly gave us our dining options. Buffet or order from the menu, both of which had a good selection of tasty looking dishes. We chose the buffet and dove right in! The staff was warm and inviting and checked on us frequently, but not so often as to be annoying. That balance is hard to find! But they did a great job. The food was well prepared and very tasty. The walls were filled with memorabilia of all sorts. The Windy Hollow Biscuit House is like a hometown cracker barrell, but here it feels like a place where “everybody knows your name”. We will be back!

My husband and I had a lovely time. The buffet was nice. Biscuits were and gravy was amazing! I’m a huge bacon fan, and their bacon was fantastic! Not too salty! The waitstaff was great! Lyndsey was So kind and sincere! Totally recommend going here to have a great food and a welcoming atmosphere!

We stopped here today instead of old south bbq. The food when they actually put any out was good. Had 1 piece of French toast over and hour and never refilled, they actually looked at the empty bar at least 4 times. This was at 730 am and only 3 othe people eating. I doubt we will ever return not worth $47 for just 2 people. Ole south from now on. Waitress was super nice and cheerful .

Great service, great food! Atmosphere isn’t as good at the traditional “Windy Hollow” restaurant, but the decorating is nice. More roomy, and traditional restaurant feel. Love coming here!
