Came in to Matewan while riding the Hatfield McCoy trails. The wonderful smell of BBQ smoking in the whisky barrel still smoker made our lunch choice super easy. We both had the pulled pork sandwich and fries and amazing is not the word. Perfect pulled pork with phenomenal house-made sauces to shoes from on a toasted bun. . The fries were crispy and hot. Portion sizes were very generous for the reasonable prices. Server was super friendly, the restaurant and bathrooms clean and the atmosphere (love those old wood floors) made this a perfect spot to enjoy a great meal.

Stopped here to eat lunch and explore the historic town of Matewan. This restaurant had a variety of memorabilia surrounding the Hatfield/McCoy history. They also smoked their own pulled pork and served it with your choice of their homemade sauces! It was amazing! The service and food were excellent!

Staff is so friendly and helpful, camped nearby and had 2 dinners and breakfast during our weekend. Great ribs! Delicious cheese steak and biscuits and gravy. Reasonable prices.

This was our 4th trip to Wingo’s Grill and it has never disappointed. We LOVE taking our family and friends there every time we are in town! The BBQ is amazing and don’t forget dessert. Also the staff and owners hospitality is like no others!!!
