I have been to this location 3 separate time since they opened. Each time I have dined in. The atmosphere is mediocre and the staff still seems to be getting the hang of everything. Each time I have been, it has not been busy. Yes, there are some online orders but nothing crazy (maybe 6 people in dining room). All of that to say, each time I have been either my wings or my fries have not been hot. It almost feels like they’ve been sitting out of the fryer for 20 min just waiting on someone to put them in sauce. Speaking of sauce, I have never received wings that are coated correctly in sauce. Every time I have had to ask for an extra cup of sauce after receiving my food. At that point the wings are just fried chicken nuggets—not what I’m paying for. I think if they can just fix the sauce issue and ensure that the food is warm, this would be a 5/5 establishment.

It looks nice inside. I ordered the Cajun wings and I liked them. The fries were excellent. They had a little trouble with their fountain drink dispenser (but the many, many choices in this thing!) but they’re pretty recently opened and some bumps are expected. There was a guy packaging orders and calling them out who seemed to be having a good time, and he was encouraging others as well. I wish I’d gotten his name but he made the atmosphere pretty entertaining for a “people watcher”.

Fantastic wings, and the employees were all working their tails off to keep up with demand. Yes, I waited in store for over an hour for my wings, but while I was there I saw such a huge number of orders filled for a small shop I was incredibly impressed by the cook staff. They had as many cooks as would fit back there, and the delay was because the fryers were at their limit. You can criticize them for building a small kitchen, but I think it’s a bit unfair to tank the ratings with one star reviews when the problem is that New Bern has such pent up demand, since the quality from the other dedicated wing place has gotten so poor. For heaven’s sake people, they have been open for 3 days. Give them a week or 2 as the orders smooth out and we will all see the 5 star service and food quality they provide.

I waited 40 minutes for my take out. I watched order after order be incorrect. After inquiring about my order and refreshing their memory of what I ordered- we got home to an incorrect order and very cold French fries! I watched an employee try to hand someone their fries for a takeout order without a bag! The wings did have a decent flavor but not worth the wait.

This was my first time going to Wingstop. And as they say first impressions are most important… I placed my order online at 7:50 pm. Arrived at the location just after 8 pm. Upon first entering the establishment, there are several people in waiting at the front. I also noticed two shelves with bagged food on them. I waited patiently and noticed the crowded staff seemed very disorganized and chaotic with some people not having an identifiable duty. Strange. The way food is handed out is confusing not one showing any interest in doing their job well. One young lady places a bag of food on the shelf and then says a name “out loud”. I say out loud in quotations because she said it so low I couldn’t hear her. This happened at least 3-4 more times while I was waiting in line. Apparently the customer is supposed to somehow hear this and come get their food. In reality these bags sit there until a customer gets agitated enough to come looking for their food. Not a good sign. I finally get to the cashier who seemingly wandered around for no apparent reason a few times in between customers. I showed the cashier my phone with the online order. She pulls it off the shelf. (It was already sitting there the whole time) and hands it to me. The drink machine was almost out of everything. So I got two bottled drinks. Finally make it home and the fries are not hot, not warm, but completely cold. Have you’ve ever seen fries so cold they shriveled? That was these. I literally stuck my hand in them and there was zero discernible heat from them. There’s no way these were made within an hour of me placing my order unless stored in a fridge. That was disappointing. We were also missing out 2nd dipping sauce. The only redeeming value was the wings were actually hot (temperature wise) and rather flavorful. The boneless were tender, not dry. So that’s the only redeeming value of this experience. Will I return? That’s a big fat… Maybe. The place has potential, but needs serious help.

Today, the tenders had little if any sauce on them and because they were cold, it was mostly congealed, gross. There are no trash cans in the dining area so you leave your food on the table. There is no signage telling customers where to pick up their food and there are no napkins except for 1 roll of paper towels that everyone has to share. Your name is never recorded correctly when placing your order so it leads to confusion when its ready for pickup. Whoever is cooking has no training in timeliness of getting food orders out. I watched a young man wait 45 minutes for his food to be ready, he looked so hungry while everyone else was getting their food and eating. There isn’t enough seating for waiting customers who are not dining in. One awkwardly placed seating bench in front of the ordering counter but there needs to be more inside and outside.

Meh. First off, if 2 people are dining in, you don’t put both orders in one container… Am I suppose to reach across the table to eat out the same container as y dining partner??? Really? Also disappointed about the sauce selection. Only @12 options and all were basic and just like the competition wing restaurant. Blah. Probably won’t be going back, not worth my money. Only positive, the employees were friendly.

Food was delicious. Took 20 minutes to get it but that is reasonable. We got the chicken sandwich, voodoo fries, and wings. All were very good. The chicken sandwich was very tender and juicy. Definitely recommend the Louisiana rub and garlic parmesan for wings. Will be back!
