We were visiting Martha’s Vineyard in the “off season” April and needed a place to eat. With many places closed for the season we found Winston’s open and were glad to find food. Little did we know how delicious it would be! We were blown away! We got the pulled pork dinner and jerked pork dinner and both were very very good! So glad we found Winston’s!

The fried chicken is good for oak bluffs standards. On a scale of 1 to 10, it is a 7.5; the Mac is not like your family’s “soulful” Thanksgiving. It is not bad, but just not what I am used to as a “soul food connoisseur,” but still, it is only a handful of places I would recommend going to for those who like their food “well seasoned.” There is no seating though it is strictly taken out; you can sit by the water there are benches.

I just returned from Oak Bluffs a couple of days ago and while there I had the enormous pleasure of eating at Winston’s Kitchen. Everything we ate there was beyond delicious but the fried chicken sandwich was 10 plus stars. Popeyes and Chick Fila need to intern with Winston to learn how to make a superb fried chicken sandwich. It was brown and crispy and large and tender! My only regret is that I only got to eat one of his fried chicken sandwiches since I was leaving to go home the next morning!
