My husband’s family live in central WI, and Wonder state is our go to when flying on and out of Madison to visit. Their staff is friendly, coffee is on point and their food is delicious. It’s a good motivator to get to Madison before needing to be at the airport. On our last visit we had a Bacon-egg-and-cheese bagel and their avocado toast. Both were delicious! Thank you Wonderstate for the great service, yummy coffee, and scrumptious food!

Vegan or gluten free baked good options! Coffee is very high quality. Loved my cappuccino. Super nice outdoor seating right next to the Capitol! Indoor seating is nice in a big space, but sometimes it can get kind of loud. Overall wonderful experience and will be coming back for more!

Really delicious lattes. The vanilla latte is definitely very vanilla (maybe so much so that it a wee bit bitter). And, in contrast, the maple latte didn’t have as strong as a maple taste as one might anticipate. Finally, the latte art varied from day to day (see photos). Otherwise really nice staff, and interesting assortment of beans. Wish they had more natural process beans than washed processed.

Just tried Wonderstate Coffee for the first time and it was excellent! The cold brew was very smooth and the maple latte, while it didn’t taste very strongly of maple, did have a delicious toasted flavor. The dark chocolate orange scone was also amazing. We will definitely be back!

Meeting a friend here after not seeing her for two years, had been to the Milwaukee location (now a different coffee venue), and the location in Viroqua. Our expectation was that we would have the same quality coffee and be able to sit for a couple hours and catch up. The drinks looked ok, but only the iced tea was worth commenting about. We had been to Broken Board earlier in the afternoon and had better Wonderstate coffee there.

No 2%. Unwilling to mix skim & whole. Terrible, sour, stomach-churning cappuccino with a nice flower on it. Unwilling to scoop bagel. Did it myself and waited 10 minutes to wash my hands while I waited for homeless people taking a bath in the bathrooms. Thick with millennial attitude. Yummy coffee, friendly staff, great ambiance. Lots of great natural light. The hours are a little shorter than surrounding coffee shops, and it tends to get really busy/full. Vanilla Latte and Chai is delicious!

The coffee and pastries are good, the staff is friendly, and I like the atmosphere. The only complaint I have is that this is the only coffee shop I’ve been to that refuses to make a drink with an odd number of espresso shots. You can have two or four, but not three.

Cute coffeeshop with great flavors. I found this shop while explore the Capitol area and was drawn by the minimalistic wood interior. The cashier and baristas were very nice and helpful even when my order wasn’t processed and I had to wait for a bit. However, my vanilla iced latte was wonderful and worth the wait. They also had free sparkling and normal water — which is cool to have these choices. I enjoyed my experience and the coffee!
