I have been coming to this takeout spot since I was a little girl in the 90s. My parents used to bring me to the North Hollywood location. I found their Glendale location when I lived on the Eastside. I’m so happy they’re back in Silverlake. The food is just as delicious as I remember!

The food was gross and sitting for a while. The meat was tough, orange chicken was soggy and mushy. The only thing I really did like was potatoes and beef but I mostly ate the potato as the beef was tough. I asked the person serving if they would make anything fresh and she said no. I wanted to give them a shot so I tried it but I should have turned around. She did give big portions but it wasn’t really worth it and I just ended up not eating the food. I paid about $30 for 2 plates which seemed a bit much to me given the food quality. I do not recommend and will not come back.

In my opinion the food taste better than the big chain restaurant. They should be careful about raising the prices too often. It might reduce the amount of times customers visit. Therefore, showing a negative on their bottom line

Ordered the salt & pepper fried fish in the party trays. Amazing!! It was DELICIOUS, crunchy, the right amount of seasoning, and will definitely be ordering this again. Also, my large order was ready at the pick-up time I requested.

We went in 3 hours before they were supposed to close and was pressured to order only the entrees they had left. We needed to dine in but they clearly wanted us to leave and served everything in to go bag. When we left they followed us out the door and locked it up, trying to make a statement that they were annoyed we ate in for 30 min. Big difference from the other customer who gleefully thanked the staff for “free goodies” after eating in when we were there eating too. Food was average at best.
