Get ready for a outstanding service and amazing food. I’ll tell you, it is not cheap but it is worth it! The duck was delicious and the steak perfectly cooked! I would say that the mash potatoes didn’t meet my expectations, taste like regular mash potatoes, nothing special. The bar offers really tasteful drinks. Overall, it was a great place to have lunch or dinner.

Definitely a little gem! Delicious food and drinks, wonderful staff, chic decor, fast service. If you plan to go during a normal meal time frame (e.g. lunch during 11:30-1:30), make a reservation or plan to enjoy nearby shops as it is deservedly popular.

This place justified its popularity. The atmosphere is friendly, with the bartender Wes being an affable host who recognized and chatted with a surprising number of customers seated to either side of me. It was so relaxed that I found myself in multiple conversations with my neighbors at the bar. I started with the smoked duck charcuterie board and thought it was a great opener, perfectly portioned. If I had to level one criticism it would be that the crostini was a bit thin and thoroughly crisped throughout, where I would prefer a softer center. For the main course I ordered the much praised pork chop, which came in a sweet marsala cream sauce. It reminded me a bit of the pairing of apple and pork with its savory sweetness complimented by thick bits of deeply colored bacon and brightly colored peas, carrots and potatoes lending texture and color to the plate.

Save your weekly calorie allotment for the shoe string French fries and pastrami sandwich. Yes even if you’re vegan. There’s a reason Wood Tavern is always packed.

This is one of the better restaurants I’ve been to in a long time. The food was phenomenal. The prosciutto wrapped rabbit was a fantastic starter, as was the salmon tartare (which has a nice kick). The pork chop was one of the greatest pork chops I’ve ever eaten; I could’ve drank the gravy. The scallops were ok (but I may not care for scallops altogether). Brussels had a nice lemon mayo esque sauce and were fried well.

We went there for lunch and sat the bar. We had the pastrami sandwich, the portobello mushroom sandwich and they were both super tasty and delicious. My only two comments are that the pastrami had quite a bit of fat in it (and I am one of those who removes any fat from ham, and other cuts); and the coleslaw salad has cilantro, which I hate, so I could not enjoy it.

Horrible service. The waiters are extremely rude especially the waiter with the long beard (I didn’t catch his name). My mom and I ordered a pasta and we waited 50 mins – so naturally we asked our waiter if he could check on it. The waiter with the long beard stared me down across the room as if I asked some crazy otherworldly question. When the pasta finally came, no apology was made. As if it’s normal to wait almost an hour for a pasta. They act like they’re doing you a favor. The waiters have a horrible horrible attitude and it’s a shame because the food is actually good. Will not be going back there.
