We loved this place. Headed home before our flight. Small airport. No worries about making it through security. They are located on the 2nd floor with a full view of the runway.

The food was pretty decent only place around that still does the calamari tentacles which I’m obsessed with. My aunt had the sand dabs that was really good considering I’m not a big fish person. Service was a little slow , but our server was a little behind but made up with it with strong drinks it was pretty cool watching the planes come and go

An airport restaurant with above average food, drinks and service. If you’re passing through Monterey you might as well do yourself a solid and pop in!

I’m not impressed with Woody’s at the airport and was disappointed with the customer service and my food. I was a regular customer of the Golden Tee restaurant that was in this location for many years. I enjoyed the sand dabs and my favourite was the Friday prime rib with the twice baked potato. Well I heard Woody’s had the prime rib and decided to come in on a Friday evening. The hostess who sat me was grouchy and got me a small table along the wall. My waitress was friendly but a little bit on the slow side. I placed my order for the prime rib and twice baked potato as well as a starter salad with balsamic vinegar and oil for me to make my own salad dressing. The salad and drink took about 30 minutes to receive and the salad was nicely prepared. I sat at the table looking out the windows to my right side. What I didn’t like is that the hostess sat people right next to me in a restaurant that was dead. There were plenty of other available tables she could have sat those people. My prime rib dinner took approximately 2 hours before it was served to me. The prime rib was mostly made up with fat and it was to well done for my liking. I usually have prime rib served rare. The potato was cold and just wasn’t as good as their predecessor use to serve it. For the price it cost me it should have been better. It’s also a good thing that I didn’t have to catch a flight because of the time it took to receive my order. I am giving Woody’s 2 stars and that is strictly for the waitress who was friendly albeit slow. As for returning to Woody’s again in the future that is highly unlikely. Most of the offerings on the menu are boring and not the type of food that I normally eat.

It’s a nice little airport restaurant. The menu is fairly limited and being an airport, Monterey nonetheless, its on the pricey side, but it’s worth it. I usually just get the burger. A Burger’s a burger, right? No, this burger is good! The onion rings are really good too.

Went there for the soft opening, staff was friendly thats the only good thing i can say about the Fly A Way Restaurant. Ordered a Philly cheesesteak sandwich i believe it was a pre-packaged sandwich for $16 no frys no chips no nothing but a bad sandwich. Spent over $100 for a quinoa , sandwich and a couple of miosas. Completely over priced for bad food. Looking at the other tables they were not much better. If i could give minus stars they would be a -5 would not recomend unless you want to be disappointed . The pictures they show on the website IS NOT WHAT THEY SERVE.

Sports bar like atmosphere. I’ve flown out of Monterey Airport several times. I had a small amount of time and decided to stop at Woody’s. A few beer selections, no hazy IPA. Had a bowl of clam chowder. Wasn’t the best but not the worst. Watery and a bit fishey. Could have used more butter or cream. After all, when you are enjoying chowder, you know it’s loaded with calories! If you are flying out of Monterey, come a bit early and wind down at woody’s before your flight.

For our anniversary I wanted to do something a little different without having to go too far. We basically sat on the runway. At night it’s beautiful with the lights. My husband had a burger with a ridiculous amount of bacon, yum! I had the sand dabs, calamari combo, Bomb. We both enjoyed it very much. Though we didn’t get drinks there is a full bar also. Parking was easy and they validate. Totally going back.

Very nice experience. We were up stairs so we could watch the aircraft while we enjoyed lunch. The service was great and the food was delicious.
