What a treat to have a good barbecue restaurant in western Montgomery County. Their menu has a lot of choices, so I had the Texas Sampler Platter to get a variety: it has a quarter rack of ribs, pulled pork, smoked beef brisket, and two sides – I had their potato salad and BBQ Baked Beans. I like to cook at home, I’m not an expert but I can make a tasty meal. Still, I couldn’t make brisket, or ribs or pulled pork that tasted as good as that platter. Everything was delicious, and the portions are generous enough that I’ll be enjoying leftovers for lunch at work tomorrow. Stop in and give Woogies a try.

My co workers wanted to order from here today so I called up to ask questions about their menu items and whether or not they contain gluten. I was told they had no idea if their bbq sauce had gluten and could not tell me if there was gluten in the dry rub they use on their smoked chicken. I have a gluten allergy but decided to order the smoked chicken with mashed and coleslaw anyway. We called back to order and they never asked me if I wanted gravy on my mashed potatoes. I recieved my order and the smoked chicken is smothered in bbq sauce (not what I was told it would be) and my mashed potatoes are smothered in gravy. Basically I can eat the coleslaw side. Hint to new restaurant owners – be more allergy sensitive, ask people if they want gravy on their mashed and know more about your product.
