First time eating here since new owner and name…..was the absolute worst chicken fried steak I’ve ever had….small, meat was over well done, breading was greasy not even sticking to meat, mashed potato and gravy not to bad…..service was way below average with no offer of refill of tea which is 1.99, for that price of tea should get a gallon offered….none the less I personally will never eat there again, YUCK.

The location in Kingston is pretty good. The location in Durant used to be the best in town but it has gone down hill and the food has gotten sloppy and dis satisfying. Not sure of the reason. They can’t get the order right over half the time and if you ask for mayo on a burger you surely don’t want it to be so thick you can’t taste anything but mayo and have to scrape it off. Many times the food is cold. This has all started within the last year.

You couldn’t pay me to go there again. Yes the food is cheap but that’s also cause the service is as well. You find your own seat, great, get drinks? Perfect. Your attitude towards your customers sets a mood and when you say “be more specific next time” when I ask you to take the plate back because it had gravy and I did not say gravy. If this is how you treat a stranger and first time customer I wouldn’t recommend anyone here, go to the cafe in Mead. It’s much friendlier.

YES!! wright’s is in kingston now i use to go the one in durant all the time when i lived in calera always loved their food and it’s just as good as the one in durant only thing is they need to get there shake machine that plus food is a win in my book!
