Had a fantastic meal at Xay’s Kitchen! The Som Tom salad was packed with bold flavors and the 5-chilli rating I asked for really hit the spot. Loved the chicken soup noodle dish – it was comforting and well-balanced. Don’t miss out on the shrimp croquette-style rolls, they were a tasty addition to the meal.

Got some uncommon dishes that we don’t find in regular Thai restaurants, and they were all delicious. Clean and comfortable setting with friendly service.

Totally worth the price. Maybe they are not using the expensive meat or vegetables, but the smell and the taste is nothing but correct. And the size surprised me. One can never get such a big bowl of Tom Yum soup with less than $15.

Incredible. If you see this review treat yourself right and go here. The food is prepared so well and with massive portions. You will leave here limited by the capacity of your stomach rather than wanting to stop.

I live in Manhattan and travel well over an hour to get to Xay’s for their Pho at least once a month. That’s how good it is. If that isn’t a reason to check this place out, what is? I have not had a bad dish from this place, and the customer service is always phenomenal. I cannot recommend Xay’s enough.

Have eaten at the Danbury location several times and each has been a truly outstanding experience on both quality, quantity and presentation of both all food and beverage items selected. The ambiance and service is always friendly and on point. This gem is a must for anyone looking for a five star Laos/Thai experience. I could eat there daily!

What a great little resturant. My first introduction to this type of food. Was not disappointed. Great, tasty tea. Big portion of soup at a nominal price. Spring rolls, chicken wings, beef jerky and fried calamari very tasty. Bring your own wine. Will definitely be back!

Great food for the area. Just nothing really stands out. Portions were generous. Fried rice was very flavorful. You can taste the hint of char.

We loved Xay’s Kitchen! Will definitely come back. Everything was delicious. The thai iced tea was the perfect level of sweetness. Portions were great too. I’m sad I live 1.5 hrs away 🙁

The restaurant offers some traditional Laotian fare. As we rarely come across this, we tried the Lao sausage and beef jerky. The jerky was not tough as the name suggest, but spongey like tod mun. Both were delicious. We also had the tom yum shrimp soup, the deep fried red snapper, and pad thai. Look forward to returning to try the other menu items.
