We pass this restaurant daily and often it is empty. After reading the reviews, my husband and I decided we wanted to judge for ourselves. This is a beautiful restaurant, perfect for a date night. They are working on getting their liquor license, so no cocktails yet. This is not a taco truck or fast food restaurant. We ordered the guacamole to start. It could easily have served 4-6 people. It was delicious! I ordered the sopes. You get 3. I got one of each… mushroom, asada, and chorizo. They were piled high and very filling. Mushroom and chorizo were my favorite. My husband ordered the shrimp ceviche. He was filled up and enjoyed every bite. We will certainly return. I’d love to try the churros on the dessert menu. No, beans and rice are not served on the side, but there was plenty of food. I encourage you to try this restaurant out for yourselves and support this new business in Oxnard.

Coming from working in restaurants and serving, this place was a huge disappointment. I got the chili relleno and the chicken inside was ice cold, the sauce was cold and so were the beans. Server didn’t know the menu and they didn’t have half of what they offer on the menu. The server was really sweet but didn’t know the menu and couldnt communicate with me, luckily I know a little Spanish. Now I understand why Everytime I leave the gym this place is a ghost town. It was absolutely horrible. I will never return and will never recommend this place. If I could put zero stars I would.

Friendly waitress. I did not understand the concept of a Mexican fusion. Not your typical Mexican restaurant. No free chips or salsa. I got three green chicken enchiladas. The tomatillo sauce was good, but the chicken was chewy and did not taste fresh. No rice or beans included. My mother got the chicken con mole. The mole was good, but the chicken was over cooked. Her plate included some rice. Additionally we got two fountain cokes. Our total bill with tip came to $67.00 (three enchiladas, two cokes, a mole chicken plate that included three tortillas) I will not be returning. There are many outstanding Mexican restaurants nearby that are worth every penny. This was not. This is my honest review

Very weird experience and deceiving name. I thought there was a fusion of mexican and something else but nope just the most basic Mexican dishes you can order and they’re over priced. No one greets you at the door especially when the restaurant was dead, two girls are chitchatting with one table for about 5 minutes before we’re told we can sit. No music at all ….so weird experience hearing the only two other tables complaining. We ordered two pozole and got recalientado that was luke warm at best. 18$ for for a menudo that was not authentic, no spice no flavor and wrong condiments. I got lettuce instead of repollo -.-…. It took the “very busy” kitchen (only two other tables there) 20 minutes to nuke the pozole in the microwave. Ohhh and a bar but it doesn’t sell alcohol? One table took off because they brought out 1 plate and the other dish wasn’t ready….. if its that slow and you’re messing up that bad already you’re probably in the wrong business. For two people and no alcohol we spent 60$ un crummy food. Save your cash and walk like 5 down the street to tacos Mi Pueblo where the food is hot and full of flavor. You can get a pozole there with all the right fixings and alcohol and spend less…. Definitely not coming back.

Waitress did not know menu asked questions she did know anything about menu asked about the fish tacos…. She did not have a clue… answer “se me hace que llevan repollo” yeah I was expecting grilled or fried in a batter. Music was loud as if I was In club… some people like music as a background to relax and enjoy with their food not get a headache while waiting for their food. Drinks agua de sandía was Not cool it was HOT had to ask for extra ice but it didn’t have much flavor prior to the ice. Which by the was was brought with our food. We never got refills on water and we had to ask for utensils to eat

Not what I expected for a 100 dollar bill for 3. I ordered the Enchiladas de Mole asked for de queso and got chewy chicken. I totally get the vision but not the place nor the time. I wouldn’t go back. Basically a high end Mexican restaurant with an auto parts view.

Took forever to bring two orders of chilaquiles and were significantly cold, asked waitress to take back and warm them up, and then came back little warm but chewy and soggy, lemonade tastes awful, service is ok but food needs a lot of improvement if want to keep customers coming in, we will not go back, black beans as only option, yucky .
