Not trying to sink the local establishments. But do feel a little deceived by the four star rating. Got some nigiri to go and threw most of it out; even after trimming off the brown bits. I have a rule.. if the front door is grubby with finger prints you should not enter. I broke it and regretted it.

The appearance of the restaurant itself is kinda sketchy, but the food on our visit was absolutely delicious. Best fried rice, perfectly cooked steak. Also great service. With remodeling and better A/C, it would be the perfect little hibachi place.

The food wasn’t great but it was ok . We ask for calamari and the guy that made it was a great Host. The service was 100% and the place feels a dark and not in a good way. We did pay almost $25 per person. So the price was ok.

Upon entry it wasn’t very appealing regarding decor , but the staff Was friendly and we were seated right away , we noticed everyone that was there were regulars and had been coming for many years and raves about the food and sauces . Our chef was awesome and funny . Very generous on the sauces . The ginger sauce on steamed rice is delicious everything was so flavorful.

This place never seems to fail me. I was able to request my favorite server Arcie. He is fun, full of joy and always makes your visit pleasant. I use to live here and moved back to VA. Now I visit Yakiniku whenever I’m in town. Always good food and service. Plus we ordered to go to take back to VA tomorrow. Thank you Arcie

We’ve been coming here for special occasions since they first opened so many years ago, and the food is delicious and fun. In past years, the chefs used to entertain the clientele with their cooking skills, even better than Benihana, but not anymore. While I miss the entertainment, I still enjoy the food immensely and I still come here for holidays and anniversaries. I always get their Emperor’s Choice, which includes shrimp, filet steak, scallops, and lobster along with the standard fried rice, ginger dressed salad and soup. It’s a wonderful meal that includes all those delectable entrees at a very reasonable price. I will confess that the restaurant could use some refurbishing, but that is no big deal because you should come here for the food; that’s what really matters here.

The food is delicious! The plates run about $15-40, so not super expensive, but not cheap. They do have kids plates which are priced for kids. Sushi is also on the menu. The dress is casual. They do have alcohol. The chef is fun to watch.
