We had too high expectations from the good reviews and got disappointed big time.. Food was ok but expensive for the quality & portion. The place was very dirty. Food drops on the floor, sticky table, dirty plates… Also we were not sure they had the same Sprite we knew. It tasted plain even after they gave us a new one. Lastly the servers were kind but did not understand the menu & availability. It felt like we were ordering something they didnt know..

Delicious and authentic Japanese yakitori experience! Chicken gizzards and beef intestines and anything with green onions the best!

Wish they had more space! Small yakitori restaurant that was packed when we went. Full variety of dishes, all very good. Some of the yakitori were a tad salty but overall a regular in one’s rotate if they’re craving beer and light Japanese dishes. Their roe mayo dip for the French fries was an interesting mix but paired well!

One of the best Yakitori places we’ve been to. We used to love going to NYC Japan town for Yakitori skewers but with COVID, we stopped going. This restaurant highly exceeded our expectations of a small restaurant in NJ. All the food was very fresh, cooked to perfection and delicious! Start with sake and finish with a crème brûlée! Definitely going back again soon to try out their many other dishes since we only had their skewers and sides (saw on the menu ramen, hotpot, etc).

This is a unique restaurant, offering lots of skewers and small dishes. There’s a variety of items offered, pork, beef, chicken, seafood and vegetarian items. The menu is really really long, spread across 3 different ones, more than 8 pages.

Highly recommend calling in a reservation ahead. The food is outstanding and the experience is like stepping into a bar in Japan. Favorite dishes were Chicken heart skewers, calamari, and takasago potato salad. Share a bunch of apps and bottles of sake. Very good!

Nice place to hang out with tons of food and drink options. Ramen was okay, just too greasy for my liking. The Japanese agedashi fried tofu was a must get! Various types of meat skewers were very tasty. Mixed vegetable tempura is a decent option to share. Don’t be afraid to ask the staff for popular dishes. Will come again. Make sure to call ahead of time to make a reservation.

This place has amazing Japanese food – even though the menu is overwhelmingly big (5-6 menus) the food is absolutely delicious and the service is great. They bring your tapas out quick one after another. Food is fresh and HOT! It’s amazing . The atmosphere and the service are great. Also, Yakitori has the BEST chicken wings I have ever tasted in my entire life. And I do eat chicken wings in a lot of different places. You can’t copy the recipe – wings are cooked to perfection nothing less. Just like the sashimi—no kidding the sashimi at this place melts in your mouth!!! I never experienced that before. I Absolutely loved the experience of sashimi here. The restaurant is small, but surprisingly for a typical Japanese restaurant, tables are big enough – it offers a lot of space than other Japanese restaurants I have experienced in the past. The kitchen is out in the open. It’s very clean and you can see the chef and the assistant working together making meals and most importantly washing their hands each and every time . It’s authentic Japanese food. You will see both Japanese servers and clients here…so that tells you it’s going to be a great experience. The food speaks for itself. I truly enjoyed my visit here and will definitely come back again to try other items on their long menu! I highly recommend this restaurant. It’s a hidden !

Great food and friendly services. However some of the ingredients changed and the quality is not as the same as before. Still, one of the favorite places to go, especially if drinks with friends.

Food is great but the skewers are pricey and your bill will rack up fast. Service is not very attentive when they get very busy. Place is small but that’s what gives it that old school Japanese vibe.
