Yalla is a neighborhood Mediterranean smokehouse, and the newest restaurant from the Sesame Collective restaurant group. Opened in summer of 2020, Yalla brings a Mediterranean smokehouse to the heart of the Multnomah Village neighborhood in Portland, Oregon, with a menu of smoked meats, vegetables, and comfort dishes. Yalla is currently open for delivery, take out, and full service outdoor patio dining.
With dishes like pastrami and our famous hummus, housemade bread and pastas and a variety of seasonal vegetable centric dishes, Yalla offers options for a diverse set of discerning diners.

From start to finish an adventure for the palate! Our table of five shared choices from the menu – which is encouraged. Friday night was a noisy full house but service was efficient and we had a great birthday time. Frequent comments from our group of fussy diners: “Best I’ve ever had!” “You’ve got to try this!” “This flavor is amazing!” Note: only item we didn’t care for was the lamb kebab. The skillet cornbread was a show stopper! Bottom line: We’ll be back!

I had the best grilled peach with feta and harissa honey. Eggplant with Freekeh…most delicious hummus. I’m going to remember this peach and hummus for a long time. Friendly attentive staff. Best dinner ever. Thank you!

One of our favorite places to eat. The deep smoked flavor of the ribs and prime rib is always amazing. Don’t miss the octopus and corn ribs as they are very tasty. Always great service from the friendly staff.

Really delicious food served family style, and probably the best service I’ve had at a restaurant since before COVID. Watermelon salad, burnt beef ends hummus, fried chicken and the lamb and beef kabob were all fabulous, and their house made cucumber soda was super refreshing. Would certainly go back!

The service is polite, food is tasty, place is nice but nothing is WOW. I would have recommended it as a regular diner but the prices made me expect more. The lamb kebab had more beef or pork in it. Don’t go there if you are really famished. The portion sizes are borderline small.
