The jollof rice with fried chicken was amazing. This is a must try. The fufu soup with goat was very spicy but great but impossible to finish even with two people. overall we had a great experience. I think every dish will be more than enough for 2 people even their half portions

I haven’t had jollof rice and beef stew in a few months from Yalleys African Restaurant in awhile which I love. I decided to order some last night around 8pm and was disappointed the rice was hard like it was the scraps left at the bottom of the pan and the beef was a bit over cooked. This the second time that’s happen when I ordered in the evening.

This truly was an amazing experience. First time indulging in this cuisine, and the owner (I think) was so amazing. She took her time explaining the dishes to us. Asking us what flavors we like to then in return provide recommendations for us to try. We ordered 4 separate dishes to try and all we amazing. One thing to note we ordered the Suya Kebab as one dish, and we were told we can control the spice. We ordered it mild, OM it was so good but it was also super spicy at mild, so just take note of that when ordering! We also tried the Jolo Rice, Fried Tilapia(head included) and FuFu. Of course I have nothing to compare too prior. But now I do, and Yalleys has set the bar high. Definitely recommend!

My Uber eats order was highly disappointing. There seems to be very little to no quality control. My chicken pepper soup was full of raw “boiled” chicken the one eatable piece had no flavor. The pepper soup was literally just raw chicken and broth, not like other African restaurants with potatos, peppers etc. $30 down the drain. I was given a $5 credit instead of a full refund. Yikes. Will not order from this establishment again.

Delicious food. I wish he had sealed it so that half of my soup didn’t end up at the bottom of my bag. Kind of an expensive mistake, since it was a $19 meal. Sigh.

Me and my friends wanted to try something new so we figured based on the reviews yalleys would be perfect! To start we really loved the inside as it had a few tables and a pool table. Our issue came when we went to order and when it came to the food. We informed the staff that we had never eaten African food and that we would need help choosing our dishes. Instead of helping us the staff walked away until he came back to get our order. We were then informed that half the menu wasn’t available. My friend tried to order one of the dishes and was denied it. later that night another couple came in and ordered the same exact thing and was able to receive their food. On top of that I ordered a small dish and was charged for a large, my friend ordered beef with his dish, he got chicken instead of beef and then we were still charged for beef which was an extra 2$. Overall the food was ok, a little disappointing that we couldn’t order what we wanted, didn’t get the expected food, and you only get 2 little pieces of chicken in a 20$ meal. My other friend got the fufu and couldn’t eat the chicken because it was mostly cartilage and bone. I had high hopes for this place as the reviews were good but I’m sad to say I will not be returning.

Overall the food I ordered which was 2 orders of beef waakye, 2 orders of peanut soup with fufu, banku with okro stew, spicy kebab, the fool did not have no taste to it. Disappointed and wasted $140 for nothing.

My friends raved about this establishment. I have never had chicken drumsticks that large the rice was dry and I didn’t like the salad mixed with a chicken and rice. I thought the meal was gonna be fresh. I didn’t know it was gonna be microwaved. I was very disappointed.
