It’s a beautiful experience and everyone should go at least once. The view is stunning, the food is great.

The place is incredibly big. I had hoped to sit in the small courtyard, but due to the limited size of our party (only two of us), we were seated outside, where we enjoyed a view of Los Angeles. The main draw of this restaurant is its atmosphere and scenic view. However, I was not impressed with the food. It came in a weird order and really late with our drinks only arriving after we had almost finished our meal. Our waiter was exceptionally pleasant and helpful. As a vegetarian, he recommended some menu items that would suit me, but unfortunately, they lacked flavor. I would consider revisiting this place only for the atmosphere experience.

Went for my birthday! Staff was very lovely and helpful despite the large size of the establishment. Beautiful architecture, great drinks, great view, great food. Our bill was nearly 1k because we wanted to try a little bit of everything. I have 0 complaints. Food was tasty and melts in your mouth, definitely try the tomahawk steak.

YAMASHIRO is a breath-taking panoramic restaurant that transports you to Japan and its history. The employees are amazing, friendly and helpful. On the other hand the food was kind of disappointing . Because prices are so high i had bigger expectations. If you really want to visit this place, i just recommend to sit at the bar , or outside by the view and enjoy some drinks. Food definitely not worth the price.

For what it’s worth, it’s a good restaurant with a view.

Place is pretty amazing. Beautiful 360 views of the hills. The gardens and ponds are beautiful. The staff are all very friendly. Great food and drinks. We met Mike the bartender and he made us some really amazing drinks we’ve never tried. Was just a great experience overall and we will be back here when we visit LA. Such a great location right in the heart of Hollywood. Close to everything!

You’re paying for the view, not the food. We’d have been fine with that, but we didn’t even get the view! (Other than when we were leaving after our meal.) We were celebrating my birthday, which was communicated in the reservation and we asked for a table with a view off the mountain. They stuck us in the garden in the middle of the building, which is beautiful but not what we were paying for. There wasn’t any attention to the reason we were there. Our server was attentive to the table, so I don’t place the blame on him. If we return, it won’t be for the food. For those prices they could do a better job on the service and attention to detail.

Its so hard to rate this spot as the atmosphere and the view was Amazing the food however was not. My family members all got the sushi and said it was the quality of grocery store sushi that had been sitting out for hours. I got the short rib lollipop as it was one of the few gluten free selections and while it was cooked very well it was pretty bland and my side was almost non existent on the plate not what i expect for a $50 price tag. I do plan on going back but it will be for a drink on the patio dont think i want to spend that much on food and be that disappointed again. For those whobare gluten free it is a shared kitchen,no separate prep space, and the wait staff did not confirm it was gluten free when they brought it out I thankfully though did not have a reaction.

What an incredible experience! As you enter the restaurant itself has a lovely view of the entire city, but it only gets better from there! The menu is amazingly balanced for both sushi connoisseurs and your average enthusiast. The drinks are delicious and artfully presented. The thing that absolutely seals the deal though is how friendly and attentive the staff is. I don’t even like sushi but I’m making this a go to.
